Ah, but we know there's a method to their madness, dont we! How many times did they flash the 'MLS All-Star v Chelsea' panel?

But you're right, good on ESPN... they put their cameras where their (hoped-for) money is! Like the Crew... they're building for the future, except they're spending lots more money on it.
I cant think of any other time, they've left the Game Creek tv trucks on site at Hunt Park. 2 National game from Cols within a week!

And my hero, Sirk, is back...

IMO, the funniest soccer writer in the US, at least who still likes the game..

You'll notice he has employed the same detached, tho summat optimistic, attitude as myself... and I swear I wrote that before I read his blurb.

Petty, you don't know how lucky you are to have a local/regional sports dude who can write intelligently about fitba.

I enjoyed the match last nght. It reminded me of the NFL exhibition games in the 60's when they were always on the road in non-NFL cities. Maybe 90 players would play, and you could wander through the 3/4 empty stadia and soak up the fun. Of course, I was young then, too.

You obviously have a lot of good kids there, including the Terrapin striker. If you're an FFC fan, you already know about patience. I'm looking forward to them rising up again.

    Later.

Intelligently? Sirk? That's the point... he doesnt write intelligently, he writes about peepul associated with fitba... how intelligent could that be?

And for intelligence, I know Houston is like a furrin country to San Ant, but there's a guy {used to, at least} writes for the Chronicle...

I'm glad Tom thought it was a well played match. MLS matches are often better played than that and often worse. Very unpredictable.

I think it all goes back to the competition format, which must be changed!

I think what is stopping alot of Crew fans from going to the game is that Columbus are not a very entertaining team to watch. They dont score alot of goal and draw alot.

Not sure about the noon part, but we arrived at around 4pm in our Crew shirts, and were met with a very warm welcome... We couldn't have had a nicer start to our vacation than how the Everton fans treated us. I tried to buy a few pints for the guys, but they wouldn't let me....and they asked question after question about the USA and soccer.... We all had a ball.... Emily my daughter, got the biggest kick out of their Queens English. She took a lot of pictures and a viedo and is in the proccess of sending it to one of the men who she exchanged E-mails. When they found out we were Fulham fans they mentioned something about a "Cottage", but it was all in good fun..... I also had the pleasure of meeting some of the FulhamUSA members at the game, and that made the night even better.....
