College Basketball 2022-23

My bracket is busted, but so is nearly all of them in the pool of 15 or so I'm in. I did well enough early so if the zags can get knocked out today and Texas doesn't win it all, I might be $75 richer.

 

Last night couldn't have gone any better for me. Now I need a Texas win today and then a loss against UConn. Then I use my winnings to buy myself a decent bottle of whiskey.

 

#4 seed UConn, 2 5 seeds (Miami & SDSU), and a 9 seed FAU..craziest tourney I can think of.

 

I guess I'll keep drinking the cheap stuff.

 

You never know what happens (especially to shooting) when teams move into a football stadium. I’m hoping for a UConn-San Diego State Final. Which of course means bet Miami & Florida Atlantic!

well, there ya go...
Due to various issues associated with being eighty freakin years old, i have the attention span of a gnat, unless I fixate on the exceptional.
Congrats to UConn, who I read won.
All I know is when I tuned in there was a four and a half minute scoreless drought full of turnovers, blocks, airballs and clangers. That tends to color how you see the rest of the game and I watched long enough after that to surmise SDSU was very unlikely to hold the Huskies back.
SO.. At the Half I turned over to something else.

Ruined by just happening on the middle of the first game of the Women's Final Four. And I watched every damn minute from then on.
THERE was some Championship Basketball. There was some drama. There was a player coming off the bench to hit 5 of 5 threes and 21 total. There was a team of misfits taking a losing program to National Champs in two seasons.. Behind probably a better coach than the fabled Pat Summit
And of course, controversy out the ass..where it's proven again..
DON'T GO OFF HALF COCKED..Angel Reese was excessive but she only gave back what Caitlin Clark started. Called attitude.
