I could not help but notice-- as it was on an advert in the Riverside stand bogs-- that "Oranje is het nieuwe zwart" which means "Orange is the new black." Oranje is of course the nickname for the Dutch broadly and the National team in particular. In this context it seems less about Maarten Jol's brand of totaalvoetbal-- which I will discuss elsewhere later--and more than we will likely play in an orange away kit next season.

Yup, I think you're right. There's a small banner on the website now. And a date...6/6/2012.

If they can come anywhere close to the Netherlands kit, I will buy it like it like a mofo. Shut up and take my money would definitely apply here.

Orange, oh I'm so tired of it. I know a handful of Dutch people through youth soccer and they are unable to attend anything - a u9 soccer game, soccer picnic, Columbus Crew MLS game, soccer club meeting - without wearing orange regardless of the fact that no teams remotely involved wear orange. I'm so tired of orange fleece.

However, the Netherlands Euro kits are pretty nice this year so if they look anything like those I may be in. But I wont keep my hopes up since we're still kappa right? :(

I'm hoping it's only going to be the 3rd kit, but it sounds like it's going to replace the black ones. A huge NO thanks. Orange? These are going to be brutal. I guess I should be thankful and be happy the Dutch don't wear chartreuse

I'm with Joe. The thought of an orange Kappa kit frightens me. No way it's not garish.

Also, I believe an orange kit contractually requires us to sign Tim Howard

Have you guys not seen the amazing Dutch kits they've been wearing for decades? Imagine the awesome Euro 2012 kits! These can't come out soon enough.

I'm ashamed to admit it but I've always kinda liked Roma's kappa kits. Maybe Fulham's orange will look something like this. Not so bad.

orange shirt / black shorts = sharp. could look really good (but i'm already a sucker for a certain team in san francisco that dons the orange and black).

I believe it was for three seasons, of which 12/13 would be the last.

I like it. Not as good as BiB, but could see myself wearing it.

I think it looks okay but I probably won't be buying one. Reminds me a lot of Wolves' kit.

Roma's Kappa orange kits are decent, how did they get ours so wrong? Yuck, not buying it.

I think I'm going to wait and see the third kit before passing judgement.
