    Remember a few weeks ago, when Maxine Waters lost it on national televised hearings and threatened to 'socialize' the Oil companies? That was certainly a freudian slip.

    Now Rep Hinchey of NY has threatened to nationalize the oil refineries. And I guess Obama does too.

    Remember I said in another thread that if we found a way to directly line those pols' pocket with oil money things would change?

    I'll put down $5000 against $1000 from you that no bill nationalizing the US oil companies hits the desk of either President McCain or President Obama between January 2009 and January 2013. Willing to take that bet; hey, I gave you 5-1 odds, and you have a sure thing, evidently.

    Even YOU know that there's no Marxists in Congress, nor is any party even thinking about nationalizing the oil or refining industries. YOU KNOW THIS, but you run fevered crap post after fevered crap post to try and scare everyone to death about Obama. While I must admit it's a nice break from you trying to scare us all to death about Iran or -- horror of horrors -- JIMMY CARTER, :shock: but these threads are getting closer and closer to the realm of science fiction. Certainly they must be embarrassing even you by now.

    What evidence? Your twisted twist on the disparate comments of 2/435 members of the House is hardly evidence of anything.

    What facts? WHAT FACTS? All you posted is opinions, and then only about 1/10th formed and 1/20th baked opinions.

    I posted the actual video of hinchey saying that. I can find the video of Waters' threat. Is that a fact or not?


    "All I posted was Opinions" ?!!!

    And everyone should notice that whta Hinchey threatened to nationalize was the refineries. Which are running full capacity.

    Meanwhile the Dems block each and every attempt to dril and build refineries including, - my opinion - on decommissioned military bases.

    I saw the video. I didn't see anyone on the video say "the Democrats are going to nationalize industries." I haven't heard anyone in the Democratic party indicate that this was going to be part of their presidential platform or their congressional goals -- AND NEITHER DID YOU. You're making that up, and you're calling it analysis. Worse, you're accusing everyone who sees through your bullshit of being naive and fooled.

    'fog, you have nothing credible to defend anymore. The neocons have destroyed the economy, the war is a disaster, the administration is corrupt, petty, vindictive, and incapable. Everything they've done has made the country worse in the last eight years. There is no THERE there, and everyone with half a brain can see it.

    So, with nothing to defend, all you can do is attack. So you're rummaging through the laundry hamper looking for something dirty to wave at everyone and go "see!" You pull out a sock and yell "socialist;" you pull out a teeshirt and yell "she called us whitey!"

    It's pitiful, man, and it's sad.

    The neocons have not destroyed the economy, the war is not a disaster now that we threw out the 'by the book' bureaucrats, the administration is not corrupt , especially by Dem standards and your life beliefs are going down the tubes.

    Pettyfog lets say for the sake of argument I start a thread calling Republicans closet fascists or racists in the thread title no less either with or without a linked video for support. I'm sure you be ecstatically calling foul. That said pulling this one does seem right down your alley.

    Hmmmm, sounds like "meme" is a meme.

    But not exactly the most successful one, as nearly no one knows what it is, until now, and it was not spread in the viral fashion expounded in Dawkins' theory, but more in a computer viral way by 'fog.

    What does Dawkins say about "propping up" memes until they catch on? Wouldn't that just be old fashioned brain washing?

    What the Jim Romes and my pinheaded brother and cousins would have you believe is that since soccer is not traditionally an American sport it must be communist since you can't use your hands. As I said in an earlier thread. I disagree, and while I haven't had success in making them footy fans, I am getting back at them by converting their children. I am also using some, uh, life capital that I have earned to keep them in their place as well :wink:
