Well last year we outplayed them and were unlucky to only get a draw. This year, we have a far better team, they are in turmoil, their two best players are injured. We are due some luck. Yes we can win, but I predict another 2-2 draw. Baird to score from a corner (not an own goal), Boozer from a free kick.

Nothing I have seen this season so far leads me to believe a win is possible. Nothing I have seen this season from our defenders/goalkeepers leads me to believe a draw is possible. Sorry guys, we have no shot...

I would normally agree with that statement, but Chelsea is hardly in top form. With Drogba and Lampard out, plus all the chaos off the field ... anything is possible.

Yes, Chelsea is in a bit of a rut right now with chaos around the new manager, injuries, etc. BUT, they are due to stuff someone sooner rather than later and take all their aggression out on someone. I just hope that someone is NOT Fulham.

drogba is actually healthy, so that should be cause for concern.

Yep was about to post that. 5 attacking players will be enough to put Chris "shit" Baird on his ass for another game. I'm sorry, I've watched every game and he is beaten in and out all game. LS needs to let Volzy have a go out there.

I'll be taking the jeers with some of the Atlanta crew at the Brewhouse. I prey for a win, hope for a draw, and fear a drubbing.

The upside to that could be the open area for counter attack.

Apparently Volz is injured, explains why he wasn't in the squad Wednesday.

I hope we win 0-1 on the luckiest John Terry own goal imaginable. In stoppage time. Deflecting a Chris Baird header into the net.

That is the only upside. I just hope the back 4 don't succumb to the pressure and the midfield can move the ball up into space, now that Chelsea is playing "free flowing football". I hope Grant has not been taking notes on Arsenal's style of play. lol

the good news is we could lose 8-0 and still have a better goal difference than Derby

Yeah, I was just about to post this. LS says Volzy, Cook and Christanval are all unavailable because of injury.

The "all-out attack" bit almost sounds like desperation to me. If Abramovich wants to play his real-life version of Football Manager and send out a 4-1-5, more power to him. There's a reason nobody uses that formation, and if thats really what they plan, they're probably going to be stuck playing long ball.

chelsea could rip off their european rivals barca and run something like a 3-4-3. which could cause a lot of problems.

Maybe the Bolton disaster will give the players some urgancy and we'll come away with somthing. Chelsea is a hard read right now and so are we! Perhaps if we can go two up early the crowd will turn on them. Still don't really like our odds.

    Chelsea 4-2 Fulham

Have to be elsewhere at 0900 [CDT] tomorrow, so I won't be in the Chatroom. Luckily, at some FulhAmerican's urging, "dude, I got DVR," so I will be watching the match in what we used to call "near real time."

I'll miss you lads and lasses; have fun. COYW!

I won't be in the chatroom either. Going to a bar/pub to watch it.

I say we lose 2-1 or 3-2. Hopefully not though.

    Spencer,

I don't think Bolton was a "disaster". Fulham should and could have won the game. Refs messed up again and Fulham had their chances. Guthrie scored a great goal and Stelios may should have been called for a penalty. Stuff happens against Premier League competition.

This will be an interesting game, regardless. We know Chelsea wants this win badly and I think it will be a test of our will to see how much we fight back. So far, I've only seen our team roll over and die in the last half once that I can recall. We've been fighting hard the past few games, albeit maybe not "fighting smart." I hope for win, but believe we will draw. We won't score as well as we have...so maybe 1-1. I don't know...a win seems like asking for too much just now, but I hope the fighting spirit will keep us from a slaughter.

In Atlanta, there will be a little island of white in the sea of blue tomorrow!

    Barca play a 4-3-3, not a 3-4-3.
