I know no one wants to think about the C-league again, but this one is worthy.
Leeds beat Villa yesterday on a super duper extra stoppage time goal at Villa Park, coming from 2-nil down, no less. Leeds are now top of the table again, and I’m sure more than a few dispassionate footy fans want to see them back up in the Prem. They’ve been out of the top tier since 2004, and have a rather storied, if uneven, history. Elland Road holds almost 39,000 and also holds sentimental value for many non Leeds fans. The PL bigwigs and sponsors would probably love it, too, but of course there is a lot of football left. But, as of today, they lead Norwich City by 1 point, West Brom by 6, and Middlesbrough and Derby County by 9.

Been to Elland Road -- about 45 or so years ago. Great venue then, with a great chipshop across the street.

Not really missing them, as they were the author of their own demise. Historically, they are a second tier club -- like Fulham [and Luton for that matter]. Good ending to the match, though.
