    ManUre v. Barca - 2nd Leg!

And oddly enough, they are having a pre-match show on ESPN2 right now. That's called progress.

By the by, Rooney is out for tonight! And they are playing "It's the Final Countdown" on the P.A. at Old Trafford, with everyone in the stands singing along. Not sure which is more of a surprise to me.

Crap defending on Barca's part, but I can't begrudge Scholes his goal. A well-struck shot that was.

Rooney limped off the pitch at the Bridge after scoring on Saturday.

Amazing that Henry is on the bench for Barcalounger. What are they thinking?

Great shot by Scholes. Horrific mistake by whoever for Barca passed that to the open space right in front of ol' Paul.

All England Champions League final, first time ever.

(Who thought the Liverpool/Chelseas match-up would actually provide more scoring??)

Hard lines for United losing Rooney, Vidic [again], and Evra in the space of four days. Having said that, I've never seen Rio Ferdinand play better and Hargreaves and Evra were huge. Nani was pretty much a waste of a uniform.

As for Barca, as soon as someone tells Messi that it's okay to pass, they'll be tough again.

As for who ManUre plays ... the Scoucers over the Plonkers tomorrow 1-0.

    Not I!

Don, my heart is just breaking for poor Sir Alex and his legion of players.

Barry, if they're the ones who can keep Chelsea from winning the league, you bet I'm sympathetic towards them.

Now you two are just being fickle. I though you were both on the 'Pool bandwagon!

So ManU vs. 'pool or Chelsea. Oh how exciting and novel. Excuse me as I have not been following international football for that long and I can hardly contain my boredom.

'Pool tomorrow, ManUre if the blue bastards make it through.

'Pool v. ManUre, I don't know yet. I'll cross that working class v. upper crust bridge if it comes to that. (Could make for a semi-interesting debate.)

What a fucking terrible effort out of Barcelona. Way to not alter your approach AT ALL after it's been ineffective for 150 minutes against Man United's back line.

This CL final is not interesting at all. That FA Cup final is way more interesting, nice to see someone DIFFERENT winning something.

Rijkaard gets a big donut on "the creative approach to the same problem" task. Even Messi looked uninspired and added little if anything to Barca's attempt. Puyol was easily the most effective, and Zambrotta may be a little haphazard, but at least he looks like he is trying.

Pathetic for such a storied club, really.

After seeing the highlights or lack thereof, it seemed a rather pedestrian match as opposed to a CL semi-final between superpowers.

Pool-Scum who knows maybe if the Scousers score early it'll turn into a great match, but seeing as that 0-0 gets the Blue Poo to Moscow this one could be like a trip to the dentist for a root canal.
