How much fun must it be to be a Burnley fan this season? These guys are destined to kick ass all over the capital city. They've already nailed three SW London sides -- Fulham and Chelsea in the Carling Cup and QPR in the FA Cup -- and are trying tonight to get their 2nd pelt in North London. They've alreay done their "capitol punishment" trick over Arsenal, now they're 1-0 up in the 2nd leg of the CC semi-final against Spurs. They're trailing 4-2 on aggregate, but so far I'd cal that a pretty good season. They're doing nicely in the CCC standings as well.

I always liked Burnley. In the 60s they were the Montreal Expos of English football -- basically existing by developing great young players and then selling them off to pay the bills. Hope the finally make promotion this year. It'd be nice.

Did they also play home games in Puetro Rico, or in a 90-percent empty stadium announcing in another language?

Can someone explain to me why 'arry was in the stands tonight with a cell phone glued to his ear and it appeared that one of his assistants also had a phone glued to his ear standing on the sidelines?

Did 'arry get a suspension? Something to do with not being the manager when the Carling Cup started? Anyone? Buehler? Thanks. :?:

He was probably contacting one of his agents, tapping himself up for his next job after he screws Tottenham like he screwed Pompey and Southampton.

One thing you can guarantee, Harry will walk out when it suits him, and he'll always make money above and below the table.

You should have DVR'ed the match... It was a dream match if you dont like Spurs, and a, 'trembling - pacing - heart pounding - I feel sick' match if you are a Spurs supporter.

But they finally got their act together and got the goal they needed.

Spurs are desperate for a back up keeper. Alnwick had a hard time, but he is young and it was a big match. I feel bad for him - his confidence... But because of his youth he probably wont know any better and will rebound just fine.

I watched all of regulation, went to Futsal with a knot in my tummy, and at 11:30 I was finally able to relax. What a nightmare!

Hey, Jens; it was what cup competition is all about. Burnley threw everything at the Spurs, got in their faces, and didn't let go. I must admit if I'd been a Spurs fan, I wouldn't have liked it at all, but if you love the English game, you really can't beat it.

I fully support Harry's decision to send a bunch of subs to Old Trafford on Saturday. Those Burnley dudes flat wore out everyone in white.

Agreed... Now that I know the outcome - it was a wonderful match.

Weak side in the FA cup - he really has no other choice, but if he did - it makes sense to take something out of the equation. You are in the final of one competition, and you are in a relegation fight. He still has the UEFA cup to worry about...

    Something has to give.
