    Full Strength side?

You trying to wind me up? No King, No Bentley, No Hudd, No Modric, No Bent (he came on and scored tho)

Ah well - they looked crap, but they got thru and that is all that matters. What a horrible surface.

DeMerit left the match injured in the second half and the Watford backline looked far less effective without him.

Yep. I'm hoping that ManU meet Spurs in the semis, and that Derby somehow manage to beat Burnley in the other semi.

Then we can have a CC Final with the score 17-0!

DeMerit - Talk about someone who looks perfectly suited for the CCC! Tough, No Nonsense, Brave... A bulldog!

Spurs - Burnley, ManUtd - Derby.

You would think this has the best possible TV revenue, so I would guess that will be the draw.

    When is it anyway?

Try not to fall of your chairs, but  Spuds "drew" Burnley while Derby will soon be giving up 5 goals to Tevez. Why not come out and say we want a ManUre v Spuds (big interest) or ManUre v Burnley (giant killer angle also creates interest) final?

They definitely want Spurs in Europe next season. After they lose to United 5-0 in the final, they'll still get into the UEFA since United will be in the UCL.

Allow me to recommend a 10-0-0 formation for the 2nd leg.

Either way - Spurs are in Europe. Derby? They will be long off the 6 week bump from a new manager by the final.

But ManU will work them at home.

    LOL

ManU wasn't playing with their studs today, save for Tevez, whom they are likely shopping around.

Methinks things will be different for the 2nd leg.

Someone mentioned that they were watching this match - where was it televised? I would have loved to watch Sir Alex chomp that gum while walking off Pride Park in a quiet rage.

I'm pretty sure the League Cup runner-up doesn't qualify for the UEFA Cup if the winner is already in, only the FA Cup does that. So if the League Cup winner is already in Europe, that spot just goes to the next-highest finisher in the league.

Rich is right. Spurs must win it to go to Europe, otherwise it goes to the 6th or 7th place team (which depends on the FA cup finalists).

    C'mon Burnley!!!!

Hey, I have my fingers crossed for anyone outside of the big 4. Also, as beyond bad as the Rams were last year, ManYoo only beat them at Pride Park 1-0 on something like a 70th minute goal. The Lambs have a fighting chance at Old Trafford.
