You can watch the games on Sopcast in Chinese. I'm watching Scotland and Japan right now.

I thought the US was awful. Defense was atrocious. There was hardly any midfield play. Korea could have won and would have deserved it.

Watching Japan-Scotland also. Japan just scored, from two major errors. The defender messed up and keeper had a chance to come clear just outside of the 18, and with the striker bearing down on him he kicked it straight, which hit the striker and allowed him to tap in on an empty net.

As a keeper myself, I can't believe such a schoolboy error. If a striker is bearing down on you, kick it to the left or right! Unbelievable.

Mind you one minute later the Scottish keeper made a fantastic (lucky) save, but still, hard to believe. Japan have been the better side and deserve to be at least 1-nil up at the break.

I just paid $11.95 to get Galavision on my Comcast service (the "Spanish package") - now I won't have to spend $30 going into ESPNZONE (eating, parking, etc.) and will even get to hear the commentary and see some of the details.

I likely won't continue the package, but hey! :)

I do NOT think any Polish side has beaten a Brazil national team. The result was unexpected. I hope they can play well in the next two group matches. To be honest, I hope the Poles beat the US. This tournament is more important for the state of Polish soccer than it is for US soccer. Poland needs something to get the country together and excited about the game again. Poland was once a country in the 70's and early 80's that was a world power. Unfortunately, they have fallen back in the last two decades. Perhaps a good showing in this tournament will begin to build some momentum for an upturn in the Polish national team.

So any predictions or things to watch for today? I really liked Poland's counter attacking vs Brazil. Seem to take them off guard a bit. If Seitz has another stellar day I can see the US squeak out a draw, but US seems short on attackers.

I will take some heat for this, but I will be cheering for Poland. As I said earlier in this thread, I think a successful run in this tournament for Poland would possibly get some of the national interest back into soccer in the country. The domestic league is embroiled in corruption scandals and interest is on the decline for the sport as a whole. Thus, with Euro 2012 being hosted in Poland and perhaps some success in this tournament, the people of Poland will be reinvigorated with the national team and become excited again.

Many on here don't remember or know this, but during the 70's and early 80's, Poland was a fantastic side. They were in the final four of the World Cup two of out three years, 1974 and 1982. Unfortunately, those glory days are long gone and success in Poland has been simply qualifying for the big tournaments. It would be nice to see the national team bring some of those people back into the fold and excite the country.

While doing well in this tournament would be great for the US as well, I see this being more important for the Polish people than the American people. Thus, I am rooting for Poland.

Man if only all sporting events were determined by who it was more important to.

Regardless, in a very friendly manner with nothing but love, all I can say is...

USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Stuck at work, following on Match Tracker. The artist formerly known as Freddy Adu scores! 2-1.

Yeah wish I could find this game online somewhere, but no luck. Apparently it was a "world-class" goal!

It seems Freddy Adu has come out of retirement. Hat trick, and seem to be a part of the other goals as well. 6-1 USA.
