    Mixed feelings about -
MLS Select Team to face Real Madrid on Aug. 23

Since the All-Stars is essentially ALSO a 'select' team... this will be many of the same players Fulham faces.

This is probably at the instigation of REAL who feels their US tour was wildly successful. Look for this to become a yearly promotion... perhaps next year there will be a home and home with SOME European team... I feel it would be a mistake to tie directly to REAL, however.

Who says websites dont troll, themselves.

Inflammatory rhetoric about the Real MAtch... ignites a firestorm of plankish opinion... from all sides. But mainly from parochial Brits and Yank eurosnobs.. though they all sound suspiciously like schoolboys.

But the ACTUAL crime is that the article was written to do just that.

I just read the comments on that article....synopsis:

FULHAM HAD BETTER WIN AGAINST THE MLS. For both their benefit and mine, I can't believe so many MLS fans have so little respect for the English Premier League...ugh, now I'm pissed off. Thanks Petty (not your fault, I know!).

Well ... it's good locker copy for Fulham!

But... sorry Lauren.. the pitch is not terrible. Crew Stadium probably has the best pitch in America.
And Fulham will do well to pull out a result.
While these guys will have limited practice time together they DO know how each other play the game. ANd almost all of them are national team regulars and subs...

Like I said...the comments are pretty knobby!

I'd like to say that they will eat their words, but I'm sure they'll find some other way to blast the stadium. I can say that the grounds were looking good this weekend...which is more than I can say for my lawn!
