Arsenal v Fulham Pre and Post game

liam's departure was so ill-timed with montella poised to enter and momentum begininng to swing fulham's way for the first time in the match. i concur that dempsey showed he should see the pitch much more (aside from his header 10 rows deep).

the emirates' pitch looked a bit akin to ice today, too many players, especially for fulham, lost their footing awkwardly.

I am sitting in front of my computer at work right now in a daze, I had such a nice weekend at Hershey Park with my 3 year old son, so what happened? On the ride home Sunday all I could think about was, "Which starting 11 did Sanchez put on the pitch?". I'm not sure if this is the right part of the message board to place this "message" but I guess this is as a good aplace as any.

This is my first full season of supporting a team in the Premiership after a few years of just watching good football and enjoying it. It all started back in late June/early July when I started really getting up for the start of the season, I pre-ordered my kit (which we all know was to arrive several months later), signed up for FulhamTV (to listen to all the games that were not on TV), bought ITV for the games on Setanta, I was all ready. After the drubbing at the hands of Man U, I knew it was to be a long season filled with many ups and downs. As games went on and weeks passed I went from being really excited at the thought of a top ten finish to the position we are in today. How could this happen? The last couple of games were "must win" games, and the boys haven't really look like they wanted to win. Sunday's game just summed up pretty much how this season has gone so far, good enough to stay in the game but not good enough to win it. Looking back at lost chances: losing to Wigan 1-0 at the Cottage, losing to Man City 3-1 twice, draws against West Ham (twice), Watford (twice), Aston Villa (twice) all those lost opportunities have put us where we are today.

But there is no use in dwelling on the past we must look toward the future. Two games remain, six points to be had, forget about yesterday's game. I for one will be at Nevada Smith's on Saturday as usual, surrounded by a sea of red, all alone. But I know I will have the support of everyone at Fulham USA and that alone will get me through.
