Front what I can tell, Adu didn't dress, but EJ came on as a 79th minute sub for Aris's 2-0 cup win today.

(yeah, I created a new thread, but this way we can discuss both Freddy and EJ at the team in a single thread to avoid cross-posting)

I appreciate that. Aris had a league match on Sunday as well, but I couldn't get a lineup for it. I bet Eddie really misses all the snow and ice in London now.

Adu didn't dress because his paperwork didn't arrive in time, but he should be available for the weekend league game.

Looks like EJ came on as a sub for the last 11 minutes - have no idea how he did, but Aris won 1 - 0. Adu did not play dont know if he made the bench.

Not a bad result for the pair, but I wonder if the defense in that league is always so bad.

Playing in front of nobody on a horrible pitch.

I dont mean to be so pessimistic, but that is the truth... Seems MLS would be just as good of an option.

In MLS you don't get to play Olympiakos and Panathaikos (sp?) twice a year.

I dont need to go to Greece to find hot babes or awesome beaches, but I see what you are saying. It is still 'exotic' in the sense that it is not home.

more to the point, if Eddie and Freddy are trying to get minutes prior to the World Cup, what's the benefit in transferring to a league that doesn't begin play until late March?

    none.
They probably wont get in now, no matter.
MLS wouldnt help em, unless they set the league on fire. Which they wouldnt.

I think both of them still have a chance to make the Cup roster. EJ is almost a shoe-in if he starts and gets 8 or more goals; behind Jozy and CD9 (assuming he comes back healthy), who would you rather have? Adu will have a tougher time, but if he can get and hold onto a starting job, he has an outside job to get one of the last two roster spots, as a super-sub if nothing else.
