One of the onerous things about flying toward the end of my traveling days was 'no-electronics' while on-board. Finally enough studies were done to show it wasn't an issue. Sort of same time the 'do not use cell phone while at gas pump' stupidity disappeared.

But now the FCC is considering allowing mobile phone use on-board flights and everyone who travels much is pretty much AGAINST.
Hell, yes. It's only common sense:
    "Text, yes. Voice, NO!"

Freedom of Speech {communication} is only relevant when those annoyed by it can escape.

I don't fly much any more since I was retired, but with knee room and hip room being squeezed, having to pay to carry your bag on board, and not even getting any friggin' peanuts anymore, the LAST thing I need is someone yakking on a phone next to me for 5 hours.

Only very important people fly these days, thus the need for constant phone interaction.

And now, back to a typical rant against academic stupidity...

A 'Sciency Experiment' by people who should probably be shelving books, or vaccinating and neutering pets

Happiness is overrated: It's better to be right, study finds

    Read the whole thing..
How stupid and seemingly ignorant of human nature this is, I can't even describe!

Of course she despised him. But for a different reason than if he'd been that way all along.
Ahem... Do I HAVE to point out that the -implied conclusion- in the title is wrong, too?
