Just realized that Chris Armas would be part of the caretaker-manager triumvirate on the sidelines for Leeds against ManU. Life really rhymes sometimes. :D

Not a surprise at all after yesterday's shocking loss against 10-man Wolves, but Nathan Jones has been shown the door at Southampton. Seems like the guy can only find success at Luton after poor stints at Stoke and Southampton.

Caught the last 20 minutes of Leeds-ManU. Two observations: 1) McKennie looks lost and pointless—he’s in for a tough few months, 2) Apropos this thread, I don’t know why anyone would take that coaching job, unless they offered a ton of money up-front. Whoever takes the job now won’t be in charge there come next season. Watching Leeds reminds me of seeing all those cars in ditches while driving for a family get together last Christmas.

@daddude7 Weston (along w/rest of Leeds) were poor the final 20 min. He actually played quite well (no shock, he and Adams play well together) until early in the second half when off a corner he blew a great chance to score a header (his strength). The ball hit his shoulder instead. I’’m sure they’ll find some sucker to manage the team, but those supporters actually think they are still a giant club.

:eek::eek: Marsch to Southampton??? Don’t think
this is the gig to take, but Jesse does have a chip on his shoulder. Don’t think the Saints can be saved.

EDIT: Saints and Marsch couldn’t come to terms (length of contract), luckily for Jesse.

I despise scum, but I do feel for Graham Potter. I mean death threats against he and his family? Come on. That being said, replacing Thomas Tuchel with him was a real howler of a call for the new scum brass. Let's hope they keep it up. But if I were Potter, I'd get the h*** out of there. Sleepless nights and family threats ain't worth it. Live to fight...and coach....another day. It's only a matter of time before he's next anyway. I'm surprised it hasn't happened by now.

Jesse Marsch to the rescue? :) No, I don't think they'd go in that direction. They will bring in one of the old men that are always on rotation like Benitez. Unless they break the bank on someone like Pochettino, who would not go for a short-term deal. Or is their bank even breakable--seems like fair play rules don't apply to Chelsea or Man City.

Hey, Felix Magath is still alive and available.

Graham Potter somehow keeps his nose above water for now after beating Leeds at the dog track, but David Moyes is moving up the list with a bullet. Wet Spam was humiliated at the Amex today 4-nil, and it was well deserved by the hosts. Our old buddy Alphonse Areola, filling in for the injured Lukasz Fabianski, got hammered by the Seagulls: 20 shots, 9 on target. Southampton moved off of the bottom with their first home win since August, but I still think they’re going down. Their victim, Leicester, still ain’t safe yet either. Brendan Rodgers brought them back from a horrid start, but now they’re heading the wrong way again. All of the other relegation candidates have already changed managers, so….yeah. Moyes may well be next.

Club Brugge got spanked by Benfica in the Champions League and that was finally enough to send Scott Parker packing - the domestic league loss to almost bottom of the table Oostende over the weekend didn't do him any favors either. He managed 2 wins in his 12 games in charge. He was lucky to get a job with a team playing European football. He won't be as fortunate with his next placement.
