He was released from by his Brazilian club Bahia, and as far as I know still on trial at Blackpool. Wonder the what he'll do if they don't pick him up? Go back to MLS or NASL?

And even if they did want him, I doubt he'll make through the work permit process.

Sacha had an assist too. I think he has to make the WC squad.

Aron the Baconator scored for AZ. Again

Not shocked, time to pack it up and head home Mr. Adu.

I don't think Adu would have landed a work permit even if Blackpool wanted him.

Jozy not even on the freaking bench for the League Cup final, what a nightmare season.

He's been starting almost every match. I have the feeling that JK requested his early release for the friendly. If so, it was a stupid thing to do. You don't get a lot of chances to play in a cup final at Wembley.

Can't imagine JK doing that, since playing at Wembley is a little more important than a friendly in Cyprus. The warning shot of non inclusion started last week when he got subbed at half at Arsenal (don't get me wrong Sunderland should have subbed 11 guys, not just Jozy).

Done waiting, the kid is a knucklehead and will undoubtedly end up in the Clint Mathis 'If I only had a brain, and barely scratched my potential' file.

This infuriates me no end, because I like the kid. I think he's got some skills and some X factor stuff going on somehow, but he keeps shooting himself in the foot. Sports history is replete with successful head cases, but I fear young Mr. Shea will not be one of them, unless Herr Klinsmann likes him so much he's willing to overlook a number of sins and pass over more worthy candidates to give him seat assignment on the big jet to Rio...or wherever the heck they're flying into.

    But I doubt it.
