3.5 million quid for Brek. I still don't think he's anywhere near good enough to play in the Championship, never mind the Prem, but Pulis doesn't waste money.

This past year (injury-riddled) made us forget this boy's potential. He has all of the physical tools to succeed in the Prem. I think he needs a swift Pulis boot to the arse every other day to realize his potential. I don't see as much downside as others...aside from Stoke City. Good luck to Shea.

If young Mr. Shea can resolve the issues between his ears, then he'll be fine. For me, this is the biggest transfer day story for USMNT. If we're gonna make any noise in Brasil, this kid's gotta figure in it. Good luck, Brek!

Oh, and, maybe, we can figure out some sort of citizenship loophole for these cast offs...

And, hell yes, I'd take Torres.

Michu can do it all ... except speak German. No chance JK will go after him.

Wait a second, I thought Michu was the German word for 'one who can do it all'? :angelic-green:

Took a look at a Stoke City MB to get reaction to Shea, and contrary to popular belief Stoke fans can actually type full sentences. From what I gathered they absolutely love Cameron, absolutely loath Edu, and realize that patience will be required for Brek. Of course what will really happen is Shea will debut as a sub for ten minutes, not do anything and the chorus of 'Not Prem quality ' or 'utter shite' will be the final opinion of Stoke fans.

Just curious if there appeared to be any thought process process behind their loathing of Edu? I mean he played all of ten minutes for them, how bad could it have been. Obviously they are oblivious of the key contributions he has made to his homeland's side over the years. Or did they loathe him because he came from Rangers, which I could then begin to understand. :p

Brad Guzan had Sky Sports 'Save of the Match', preserving the critical 3 points for Aston Villa in the 4th minute of stoppage time in their victory over West Ham. If the Villians survive the drop, the decision by Paul Lambert to start Guzan ahead of the aging Shay Given will prove to be the key one.

DeMarcus Beasley with two goals for Puebla....both with his right foot

Guzan was massive in the dying minutes of that match. I hope he's able to keep Villa up, but it's going to be one hell of a fight.

Great news about Stu. At this juncture, really happy that he's able to play.

Another bit of good news is Sebastien Lleget re-upping with West Ham. The kid has moved up the ranks and wouldn't be surprised to see him make his debut if Spam is safe the final week or two. WIll be really curious to see if he gets loaned out in the fall.

Both goals were sweet, but man, that second long chip was a goal-scorer's goal.

Nothing against the young brother, but Ajax's two FBs [#s 2 & 3] needed to be shot after those first two goals.

Ah, what the hell, I love Jozy. I just wish his international manager knew enough to use him like his club manager does.
