Maurice Edu has gone on loan to Bursaspor. Hopefully he gets plenty of playing time and returns to his top form.

That would be nice. I have no earthly idea why Stoke signed him. They've not shown the slightest interest in him.

Klinsmann apparently has some ties with Stoke City. He advised them on both Cameron and Edu and now there have been some rumblings that Stoke City is bidding on Brek Shea.

Stoke has a glut of midfielders. They also have Palacios from Honduras but they never play him either. I think Edu's move there was rushed due to Rangers' situation. It makes me all the more pissed that they didnt take Sochaux's offer for him when they knew their financial situation, but we know Rangers and their fans arent the sharpest tools in the shed. Nor do they particularly care about demonstrating any shred of class.

If Stoke is Klinsmann's best contact club in the Prem can we recommend he contact another league?

And Dempsey with a VERY late equalizer against Man U at WHL today. He had a good gritty performance, and his goals have accounted for all 4 points Spuds have taken off MAF's boys.

Looks like Shea to Stoke is back on. Per Sky Sports News, he's back in Stoke for a medical today. There was talk over the weekend that MLS was trying to get the fee raised rather than actually block Shea moving.

I'm worried that he is not ready for this. I know he is 22 and if he is going to fulfill the potential people have seen in him then he probably has to do this. However, a move this big straight after an injury and a disappointing year seems risky. I wish him all the luck in the world though. At least he has trained with a premier league side before and we know Pulis' expectations of American players - they are cheap and they work hard. Another glimmer of hope in this is that they should definitely play him since they have paid good money for him, unlike Edu.

I would prefer that no American international play for Pulis. That is all.

From what I've seen I don't think he's ready to make at it at that level. Does the kid have it in him to be the first one there and the last one to leave the training ground when he's not getting games?? Maybe the change of scenery will be just what he needs. Not happy he is at Stoke either, but honestly think this won't be his first stop across the pond.

MSSCRATCH over on Friends of Fulham is saying that Shea has signed. This is nothing on Stoke's website about this and Shea's Wiki page still has him with FC Dallas. The last thing I saw about this was yesterday, where Sky Sports News said City had decided NOT to sign. SI's round up of transfers also doesn't include him.

The thing is that mcscratch has good contacts within FCD, so ... .

I'd rather see him play for Pulis than for Jol, sorry to say.

Two things I've thought he needed to improve upon were the speed with which he reads the game and adding some toughness to his game. Playing in England will help with the first one and Stoke will help with the 2nd. Not sure if he's ready for the leap to the Prem, but he looks to be ready to take a step up from MLS.

IF he plays at all. Edu is a much more finished product and hasn't gotten a glance at The Britannia.
