Re: Maurice Edu signe for Stoke City

ANother positive is that he is better than anyone I saw on the field today for Stoke. Crouch is damn good but not today, of course it wasnt his fault either. I will be very happy if I can see Mo play regularly in the premier league.

Heather you won't hurt my feelings if you merge it. I debated about were to put it anyway and back on topic it sounded like Cameron had a decent match today from what I read. Well, it was sort of back on topic and I guess it would be if it were in the Yanks Abroad section.

Alright, I am going on the record here to say that statistics can be confusing. Without watching the match I am wondering what Cameron did with the ball today. I get that he must have tackled, cut-out passes and blocked shots well today but after he got the ball did he give them away as souvenirs? He only attempted 24 passes on the day of which on one was a long ball but he only managed to connect on 58% of those passes. I am just curious what he did to miss on 10 short passes and what is being counted as a pass. I am assuming Arsenal was putting Stoke under pressure but that seems like a lot of misplaced passes for a MOM performance doesn't it?

It's interesting to see that after Villa made sure to nail down Brad Guzan, they're persisting with Paddy Kenney, who has been surviving on reputation for a while now. He was absolutely horrible against Everton. Brad needs to get between the sticks if Villa are to stay up.

Evidently, our Portugeuse-American in the Fulham Yoof system had a very good match against Wolves recently. I'm sorry I don't have a link to it, but there were a couple of eye-witness reports that said some good things about him. [I've also forgotten his name.]

Emerson Hyndman, the granduson of Schellas, had a hat trick in the U-18's 7-1 win over Wolves.

Happy for Cameron and Edu, but I can't stand Stoke.

Hoping they do well, certainly...but hopefully they'll be the only bright spots in what's an otherwise dismal season.

    ALTIDORE RISING AHEAD OF QUALIFIERS

From an interview with Jozy posted at Yanks Abroad. The full article is linked above.

Hopefully Jozy is just starting to mature in the game and will turn the USMNT forward position into something to be feared.

Edu officially joined Stoke. Gooch is supposedly undergoing a medical at Malaga.

Good deal! I was disappointed when the Rangers boss said he was staying a couple of days ago.
