    Wow, that snoozefest reminded me, once again, why I'd rather scrub latrines than watch SerieA. It's like playing your singles on 33 1/3 [get somebody old enough to vote to explain that to you].

    So, did I fall asleep when Derek explained why Buffoon wears a mink stole while playing GK?

    Undermining a petulant, backstabbing, incompetant tool like Hicks should endear Rafa to me, but rooting for him = rooting for Liverpool = rooting for Hicks. Plus you're right, Keane's treatment (even if only getting back at Parry) was deplorable.

    Interesting factoid: none of the EPL teams gave up any goals.

    Interesting opinion: methinks the two teams the EPL teams won't want to face next round are Barca (assuming they advance) and Bayern.

    Evidently, lying 4th in a league with only 3 ECL slots has done wonders for Bayern's ambitions.

    for all the hype the CL gets, this leg was forgetful.

    excluding the Bayern romp and the Porto/Atletico defense woe-fest, 7 goals were scored in six games.

    The first courses of some delicious meals today and tomorrow. Missing? Apparently they are all out of Bavarian sausages and sauerkraut, and Spaten. Dammit! Oh wait, that's good for my side bet. I'll save the mustard for the next round.

    And here's to a dull, yet economical 0-0 to see the Reds send Real Madrid to the trashbin of the ECL. Ole Ole!

    I'm much more interested in CCC matches today and Luton's match in League 2. Can't even be bothered to walk into the other room and turn on the TV.

    If I'm not mistaken, with Liverpool's win over Real (suck on it, Madrid), the Fulham-Liverpool match at the Cottage, that had been rescheduled for Monday April 6th, is now back to its original date of Saturday April 4th.
