I tell myself every year that this is the year I'll get more into MLS. But every year my interest becomes very spotty throughout the season. I typically catch the final (or at least part of it), so we'll see how it goes this year. I've sort of adopted Atlanta United as my team (they are the team geographically closest) and I'm hoping that now Hyndman is a regular that I'll keep up better. It should be fairly easy since I am an ESPN+ subscriber, but I always feel like I need a good highlight/summary show to keep me well rounded and interested in the league as a whole. The other issue that I have is that the matches are so sporadic and widespread. It's not like I can count on my team playing nearly every Saturday at 10am (like some other team I follow).

Love, love ❤️ MLS on ESPN+. Watching almost any match I want whenever I want is my idea of bingeing soccer.

CONCACAF Champions League has been a roller coaster already with America and Tigres both avoiding being booted by the skin of their teeth and Atlanta, Montreal and NYCFC already advancing to the second round. Last two first round matches are tonight with Seattle favored to move on and LAFC needing to spank Leon to advance.

A buddy and I talked about going to the LAFC-Leon game, but tix were a C note and after a stereo typical MLS ‘preseason’ performance at León didn’t think it was worth it....BIG mistake. The stadium was rocking, and Vela and Rossi led the way:
    https://matchcenter.mlssoccer.com/m...-los-angeles-football-club-vs-club-leon/recap

When I think of Bob Bradley’s style of football I don’t think of the free flowing attacking footy LAFC displays. Even after scoring the leading goal, they looked to score again, and León never threatened.

Nice opening day here with the dynamo. 75 degrees and a 1 all draw vs LA Galaxy

@BarryWhite I know you’ll be watching tonight as Portland and Orlando play the final of the MLS is Back Tournament (who thought of that name?). The play not so shockingly started slowly and has progressively gotten better. Pulling for my Tmbers, but think Orlando will win. Have always thought that Orlando’s Oscar Pareja should be considered for the USMNT gig.

Some crazy stuff yesterday in the first round of the playoffs. I still haven’t figured out the end of that Orlando-citeh lite of NY shootout. Still haven’t read what the red cards and field player subbing as the keeper were all about. Made for an interesting first round.

That was a wild one. The Orlando goalie had a yellow for time wasting and then got another for stepping off the line when trying to stop a PK, thus the red. They tried to sub in their backup goalie, but they were out of subs. Thus, the hero of the day (whose name I can't remember) got the gloves and the rest is history.

Wild ending to KC - Quakes with KC scoring in injury time and then Wondo equalizing in the 97th. The shootout was anything but ... Quakes went 0 for 3. The KC goalie was, unfortunately, amazing.

Just watched regulation time of Nashville vs Toronto and was sitting on the edge of my seat for the final 30 as a neutral. Fun playoffs continue.

Not disappointed in the least for my 'Quakes showing...aside from the spot kicks (it was eerily similar to watching Fulham's performance this season)

@encorespanish Wow, shocked to see the score of
Minnesota at the #1 Sporting KC. 3-0 away victory and on to the Western Finals, congrats.

Columbus pulled out another 1-0 win over another hot underdog in New England. I thought Columbus was the more dominant side until late and then it was all New England with Columbus defending deep.

Columbus had more possession in the first half but New England had the best opportunity to score. Columbus winning feels like a fair result but New England had a few chances they didn’t capitalize on that could have easily changed the outcome.

Minnesota with the 2-0 lead in the 75th minute in Seattle....then disaster. Lucky bounce got one goal back, inexplicable defense on the tying goal (how in the Hell is Ruidiaz that alone on the far post?) in final minute of regulation, then Svenson beats his man on the corner kick and hits the perfect header with 90 seconds of stoppage left. Sounders off to Columbus, Minnesota left with gut wrenching loss, sorry Encore.

    Gutted. Utterly gutted.

Playing not to lose after going up 2-0 will, more often than not, help you lose. Our players were gassed after playing in KC on Thursday (while Seattle played on Tuesday), yet the gaffer subbed in a striker and that's it, excluding the injury substitution in the first half. Speaking of which, having the Western Conference RB all-star go down in the 35th minute hurts.

It's still too raw, and if I'm being honest, the Loons wouldn't be a true Minnesota sports team without some epic and tragic loss under the belts (the Lynx excluded as they've rocked since inception). Welcome to Minnesota sports, Loons...we've been waiting.

Nagbe out (COVID) out for Columbus tonight. That and the nature of Seattle’s victory in Western Final and it’s hard to see anything but a Sounders win.

It would be an improbable win for the Crew, but hey, that’s why they play ‘em....somewhere, P’fog is cheering...

You betcha! What a great ending to a 2020 season
Fulhamish to the max except Crew won convincingly.
I was so snakebite shy i didnt watch it, but did record it.
    - In 2008 i didn't go to one game. That worked.
You guys realize the import of that being that Stadiums last big game?
Also the first organized FulhamUSA gathering?
