Youth player development in America

    When you start reading it, you may be struck as I was:
    oh, NO! Another freakin' euro-elitist "How-To" piece.
    But.. READ IT ALL!

    Good to see that they hinted at the fact that Euro's are beginning -for a long time, now- to UNDERACHIEVE!

    There's MORE than one way! That youth coaches should look more to skills than winning is a given..
    BUT that a kid who wants to play has MORE than one way, if cut by his (or parents') desired team... shows the difference between US and Europe.

    A slow developing kid in Europe.. and almost every other footy-nation.. is OUT OF SOCCER he doesnt skill-shine at 12!

    And, BTW, the US did NOT get to have a surfeit of good goalkeepers by soccer-immersion at age 10!
