He's had a very good start and a very good finish to his first season. The comparisons with Hazard are apt, but the main difference is that Pulisic is quicker and more deadly. My initial concern about him was his ability to handle the English winter -- the Bundesliga shuts down over the Christmas holidays -- and I still don't know how he'll manage playing every league and cup match in England in January and February. But I will way this, I haven't seen any American take over a Premier League match the way he can do it. And he's still a baby.

Wish he'd do all this for a different side.

Very nice goal by Pulisic in the opening minutes of the FA Cup.

I think an important distinction with McKennie's potential move is that Pirlo wants him. Having the manager in his corner from day one will help.

Difficult to smile these days, but here is something to ponder and furthermore marvel at: in the very near future there will be a USMNT (all under the age of 23) player STARTING at Barcelona, Chelsea, Juve, Dortmund, Bremen :eek::eek:
if you told me that 3 years ago I would say you were smoking some of Mother Nature’s best. It is hard to even fathom.

In this ‘golden generation’ we better include Brenden Arronson. Fantastic player at Philly. Record MLS transfer fee, heading to Salzburg and will play under Jesse Marsch and should get Champions League action as well. Only 19, but another midfielder. Why can’t one of these guys be a forward?

Edit: After typing Brenden Arronson’s name it made me think of Aron Johannsson. That was a kid who knew where the net was, scored in every league he played in, then was derailed by injuries. Well he is apparently healthy, in the Swedish League w/Hammarby and tearing it up (11 goals in 22 matches). Still only 29, Berhalter managed Hammarby, so surely he’s aware of his progress. If healthy he deserves a look see.

I admired Owen Otasowie's work Tuesday afternoon for Wolves, but the penny didn't drop until I saw an article today that he's a USMNT international. He played very well for his Prem debut and, to make it even more tasty, he helped The Undead to a defeat that kept them from first place.

The kid's gonna be a good one!

The best American at Schalke today was Matthew Hoppe

Nice hat trick all off of well timed runs.

Third American to get a hattrick in a European top flight league. First being our own Deuce, and the other being Pulisic.

One thing you have to like about the Bundesliga ... if you're good enough, you're old enough and experienced enough to play.

Jordan Morris going on loan from Seattle to Swansea. Swans are currently 2nd in the Championship, would rather it have been to a different club since Bob Bradley got run out of there right quick. Their supporters will likely give him 2 minutes before saying he’s not good enough.

Here's an interesting quiz and associated graphic. I was updated yesterday and doesn't include players in the lower divisions - so no Championship players and no Bundesliga 2 players.

    https://www.sporcle.com/games/samlonnberg/american-soccer-players-in-europes-top-leagues

I'm still working, so I have yet to take the quiz and see how many players that I've never heard of or have forgotten about. I'll update this post with my results whenever I get around to taking it, maybe...

EDIT: I actually did better than I expected (though the process of elimination helped) - 36 of 54 correct.
