So, in London I bought the following records:
Ash, Haven, Feeder, Kasabian and Embrace. Has anyone heard of these bands or have opinions of them?

Also, has anyone heard the new Doves record? I have not bought it yet, but I need to soon.

The new Doves is great, I bought it. Current fave track is "Snowden".

I like Ash and Haven. Haven't heard of the other bands.

not a big fan of Jack, but I have a friend who swears by him. He likes the new record. I might have to give it a listen just to make sure I am still not much of a fan.

There was one song, "It's All Understood" on his first record that I liked a lot. I should listen to him more and give him another spin or two.

On a side musical note, I am going to see Interpol tonight here in Chicago. Should be good. Anyone else like these guys?

    THE KILLERS - HOT FUSS

I'm quite impressed with it...not too shabby of an album.

That is a very good record Mike. One of the better efforts of 2004 if you ask me. Top to bottom there is not a bad song. In this day and age that is quite an accomplishment.

For St. Patrick's Day, it was U2 ("All That You Can't Leave Behind" and "7") and The Popes.

Today, though, it has to be Bobby Short. RIP

Currently I am listening to Haven's new record, All For a Reason. If you like the "brit-pop" scene, chances are you would like this band.

The record On and On by the Longpigs was a great record! Unfortunately, mine was stolen. I need to go on Amazon.com or Ebay and get another copy. Solid band the Longpigs were!

I just found this band call Straylight Run. I really like the song they have out now (its a chill song thats on MTV.com) called 'Existentialism on Prom Night'. Also they are from Long Island, which I didn't find out about until last night.

The Prodigy's new album has a great first track then the rest is pretty poo. I will gladly lend it to you, or make you a copy, but only if you return all those Pet Shop Boys and Village People albums you begged me for.

LOL Glen! If you can make a copy of that Prodigy, that would be great. If not, do not worry about it. If you need any discs or want me to burn anything for you, let me know.

New Order's latest: "Waiting for the Sirens' Call".
Pretty good, perhaps not as good as "Get Ready", but still good.
