    0-4 to Red Bull.

And I had to come here to vent because if onna those guys tells me I'm wrong, in my opinion after I've been watching the Crew for ten years... and what I saw happen at Fulham I'll probably have someone beating my geezer ass at the next home game.

The Crew went down 0-1 early AGAIN but were taking it to NY from that point on to the half... we did everything right, working the ball nicely.. getting plenty of chances but finishing all the appraoches with weak shots.

And here's what I KNOW Bruce Arena told his team in the Locker room:

What the hell's wrong with you guys? You know the Crew cant finish.. why are you acting as if they're going to score any minute.. go out there and step on their necks, then when they start gasping stomp on their heads!

And that's what they did... how much different it might be if Red Bull were playing DOWN 1 goal and their keeper was having to make great saves?

Robert Warzycha OUT!!! A finishing coach IN!

Don't worry that youngster Ally Morenjo will carry the team on his back!

I know your sinking feeling the Thunder lost again last night! and look to miss out on the playoffs again!

It'd been a while since I saw him play, and I think I forgot how much of a hack Rusty Pierce is.

You guys have a good one in Schelotto (sp?), not that you need me to tell you that. He gets really good placement on his kicks from set pieces.

I was annoyed as all hell watching the game on ONN. I commented to my girlfriend that I am cursed to love teams that can't finish. Crew, Steelers, etc etc.

The only person I was kind of impressed with up front was taken out. Didn't make any sense to me.

    *shrug*

I'll be at the game next week - weather permitting - so I hope to see a better game at home against TFC.

This game was AWESOME. I was there with Raging Bull Nation - I hope I hear soon about my diplomat visa - and it was fantastic yelling at Schelotto, Hejduk, their comedic goalkeeper, and many other the Columbus Bumblebees.

Mathis was a beat in the midfield, the defense and Conway stepped up at times, Wolyneic and Angel looked good together, and I think the Crew left-defenders are still trying to contain Dane Richards.

Great win for Red Bull NY!

The Fire has cooled off here in Chicago. They are on a bad run right now. I figured the start of the season the team was playing a bit over their heads, but now they are underperforming. Some consistency would be nice.

quickdraw; welcome to the site, hope you and Petty can hook up at the next Crew home game. Anytime your team gets whooped like that it's better to go ahead and vent. The one item I do have to question is you lumping in the Crew w/the Steelers..huh?? Didn't the Steelers win their 5th SB a couple of years go? Being married to a rabid Steelers fan all the while being a long suffering Seahawks fan (that was an interesting SB party) who had to wait 30 years for my team to get to the big dance I wouldn't call being a Steelers fan a "curse".

Have to give it up to the fans of Toronto FC. The best crowds since the Portland Timbers back in the NASL, when Portland was called "Soccer-City USA".

    Tom, take a look here

All sorts of 'power rankings' in the OP... and note LA's amazing ranks.

YEah, SoCalJoe, I thought the same when I saw QD's compare of the Crew and Steelrs..

But I aint about to argue otherwise, being a 'Bengaols' fan and all.

Heh... I just made up a new meme on Marvin's Felony boyz.. remember you saw it here first! 8)

I, too, have been a die-hard Steelers fan since I can remember ... but I also remember the MANY seasons in which they should have won it all during the late 1990's and choked. And while they did win the SB, it was hardly a glorious win. Their run to the SB was more spectacular than the SB itself.

And I agree with you on the Crew. Any time your home team takes a thumping like that, a group hug and crying session is indeed warranted.

    :p

I missed the Crew game because I was in Colorado visiting MrsJux’s family. We were at the Rapids/Wizards game since my nephew’s team escorted the Rapids onto the pitch. The stadium was pretty full (capacity around 16,000), but strangely quiet. It seemed like the small, but vocal contingent of KC fans made most of the noise.

I recorded the Crew game, but found it hard to watch when I got home. I didn’t think that the upcoming game against Toronto would be come a “must win,” but it definitely has.
