Note LA's position and GP. This is absolutely scary! They have 6 games in hand and anyone who thinks they cant get 12 points out of them now they're back in form is nuts!
The only bright side for the rest of us is they are in SuperLiga, they are not that deep in talent {Cobi can only play one position at a time} and their schedule is jam-packed.

OTOH: All league parity will mean for Colorado and somewhat for RSL, is that they are going to be beat like a drum by other teams scrambling for points. Expect RSL to fare better than COL from this point on.

MLS tweaks playoff format.
Having previously stated that the playoffs would be resolved in a single bracket format, seedings 1 thru 8, MLS this week sent out a press release 'clarifying' the format.

It will revert to dual bracket with the concept of "East Bracket" v "West Bracket". Seedings will be 1-4 in each bracket.

For example, each team based on record will be seeded in their own conference if possible, however the #5 finisher in a conference will supplant a team in the other conference should it have a better record.

At present time this means that only 2 teams in either conference, the top and the runner up, are guaranteed playoff spots.
