Terri has been posting LOTS of photographs of her activity with the Atlanta group -- the Dirty Whites are a force there.

Where will he fit with Dax and Juninho? Midfielders have a hard enough life without carrying a corpse.

Speaking of corpses, Jeff Cassar is the first MLS managerial casualty of 2017 getting the axe from RSL on Monday.

Ugh. The injury looked bad from my vantage point at Avaya. But then they said it was just a strain and there was no structural damage. Then they changed their mind and said he needed surgery. Brutal during a year that could have been his coming out party. And not making things easier for an already-injury-plagued Galaxy.

Sporting KC's Dom Dwyer who just became a US citizen and Tim Howard got face-to-face after Kansas City beat Colorado 3-1. Not sure what triggered it (no comments afterwards), but Dwyer has to figure into Bruce Arena's plans sooner rather than later.

Jury is out on Darlington Nagbe being a difference maker for Nats, but he's been terrific for the Timbers thus far, and his Cascadia Cup goal against Vancouver was quality.

Would be a surprise if Chicharito does NOT ending signing w/LAFC. MLS was stupid thinking fans of other Mexican Primera teams would rally behind Chivas USA, but El Tri supporters will get out to the new stadium in full force to see Chicharito in his prime

Chicharito's asking price salary wise has gone through the roof so the deal to LAFC is dead for now.

Toronto is thrashing teams, 5-0 winners over a decent Columbus team tonight.

Portland and Seattle renew hostilities and the Cali Classico between San Jose and the Galaxy is on tap out here (@nevzter , you taking your son mañana?)

Toronto pasted Columbus without Jozy or Seba.

Clint saves the day (and earns a point) in the 94th minute for 10-man Seattle in Portland.

@nevzter, strange timing for the Quakes firing Dominic Kinnear, but when a new GM comes in they tend to want to hire their 'own guy'.

I watched this very entertaining match. It was even more entertaining since it was 10 degrees hotter in Portland than it was in San Antonio. This matchup is by far the best in MLS. I loved Deuce's obscene and loud greeting from the Timbers core when he came on as a sub and, a half-hour later, how quickly he shut them up.

I also liked the homemade sign that read "MLS doesn't care about football." -- I'm assuming that this refers to the lack of international breaks for the league.

I liked Kinnear, but he just hasn't gotten results over the past couple of years. Strange timing though for his dismissal.

Crazy day in L.A. MLS news. As has been noted in its own thread, LAFC announced Bob Bradley as their first head coach.

Over on the Blue and Gold side of things, the Galaxy sacked Curt Onalfo and hired Sigi Schmid...and announced the signing of Jonathan dos Santos. Things are going to get very interesting around here (starting Saturday night with Sigi's first match in charge against the Sounders).

2 of my 3 teams won in dramatic fashion over the weekend. Too bad Fulham couldn't have made it 3.

San Jose Earthquakes scored at 90+2 to beat Minnesota and qualify for the playoffs. A really exciting game. The question of how a team with a -21 GD could make the playoffs -- we'll just ignore that one.

#8 seed Sacramento Republic upset #1 Real Monarchs SLC in penalty kicks in the USL playoffs. That was how they got knocked out in the first round last year. If they could somehow pull another upset versus Swope Park Rangers this week, it could set up a FUSA grudge match with HD's San Antonio FC in the West finals.
