Looks like a sensationalized headline to me. No where in the article did McBride say that he was coming back just that Fulhams league status next year would not bear on his decision. That comment could mean anything from he has already reached a decision to stay or go or that he and his wife have not reached any decision at all.

That didn't seem to have been BarryP's point, just that the article headline was misleading given the quotes from McBride.

That was my point exactly. If he decides to play for Fulham I will be excited because that decision will tell me that he has dedicated himself to another season with the Whites and I do not doubt his dedication. If he decides to come home I will applaud him for his Fulham carrer and welcome him back to the MLS wherever he plays.

According to the "History of Soccer", the Scots introduced passing to football. And they introduced it to the English too.

What fun that must have been! A bunch of English running around like latter day Ronaldinhos!

My point? I don't really have one.

(Note: If Spencer's name was McGuiness, we would know exactly which type of Mick he is.)

"The gentle terms of republican race, mixed rabble of Scotch, Irish and foreign vagabonds, descendants of convicts, ungrateful rebels, etc. are some of the sweet flowers of English rhetorick, with which our colonists have of late been regaled." (Benjamin Franklin, 1765)

Yeah... where da hell does "Spencer" come from?

Myself.. I have 'Reiver' ancestry: Armstrong plus Turnbull on mother's side.. which might point out that much of my personality is genetic.. even my distaste for Celtic, just on principle.
I've seen Spencer - Reiver tie-ups but I cant find them right now... could the Spencer clan have been a 'victim'? Doubt it from the Spencers I know.

Also my mother had Spencer ties and I married a girl of the Spencer clan.

McGinnis sounds Scottish or Scot-Irish (also known as Ulster Scot).
