Can we have a moment of silence for this astonishingly long thread?

I have a few words to say ... WHAT A SUMMER!

I still remember people being amazed as to how long it actually took to get our first signing. Now it seems like we were keen to pick up every possible player!

Now the real key will come down to seeing how well they all play and how the team does as a whole.

In that case... Lawrie Sanchez has gone above and beyond my expectations in the transfer market and for that matter so has Fayed in supplying the funds to do so. Fulham's added the depth that they need to fight off relegation and move up the table this season.

A top ten finish is probably not in the cards this season, but with the work ethic and determination that Lawrie has enstilled in his players Fulham isn't far off.

thanks for posting that link, jmh. I'm glad to see that Pembo is still around as a coach. I was afraid he'd be the first to go -- Welsh connection, you know.

As for last words? If Brian and Bullard get back to their full fitness, we will be a sight to behold after the new year. If not, and if Sanchez gets rid of even more players that he inherited, I think we may be in trouble.

The worst thing Sanchez could have said was "there'll be more players gone in January." Now instead of just having an unsettled squad in August and September, we'll have one through the end of February. Not what I want to live through, but there it is.

lol I was thinking the same thing. I for some reason got to thinking of them as the Mob Squad. They almost look more like gangsters in a line-up than they do footballers.

Question is, is he the kind of monster that nastily devours everything in his way or more like a muppet? You know the kind ... it looks ferocious but is really soft and cuddly and sold at Christmas.

    Hmm...the Kuqi monster.

I'd like to see him celebrate pretty soon. We saw Montella with the airplane and now hopefully we'll get to see Kuqi with a flying bellyflop.

What, no thread carry-over when the next window opens up??? Good bye ol' friend, I had a the impossible dream of the 1500th post in my sights.

So far so good... Kamara, Healy, Konch, Davis all looking good
the Aussie kid Leijer (spelling withstanding) was a great investment
only 1 player leaving is a mistake...Rosie, hopefully that one come back to bite.

Well, we had 14 people come in -- including loans -- and we had about 12 people leave -- including loans. This is post #1337, so that's a bit more than 50 posts per transfer. A bit inflated, but what the hey!

During January I think we had about 6 seperate transfer threads. This lot's a bit more organized. Now where's my Dos Equiis?
