    Andreason's quote in the Sun:
'If a bomb was dropped on the dressing room and four players broke their legs, maybe i could look forward to some playing time.'

    Well then....

Pretty funny from Leon. He also said that if the manager wanted to play other guys that was fair enough, but please not "ruin my career by keeping me here". I've liked what little I have seen from him, but now w/Ehutu ahead in the pecking order it's time to sell. Can't remember what the initial fee was (2.5?), but hopefully a few German clubs bid and we can break even or make a slight profit.

in the rumor department, Peter Lovenkrands has been released and is reputed to be on his way here. Why a 29-year-old guy who couldn't keep his starting position in the SPL and couldn't get a single match in the Bundesliga, and was no speed demon in the first place would be considered here is anyone's guess.

In the "if it's transfer season it's time for a Hyypia rumor" mode, where are the twice annual rumors about Ujfalusi? I've been hearing about him coming here for about 3 years now.

Yes, but look at what Hodgie has done with Chrissy Baird. Made him all halfway decent or something. Of course putting a player back in their accustomed position might do that, right.

Remember, it's the Sun. All the fiction that's fit to print.

Although I don't doubt that Leon is frustrated.

He's left-footed (which we're lacking, no offense to Julian Gray), would cost zero dollars (or pounds, if you prefer) from Roy's transfer budget, and scored 18 goals for Rangers in 2005-06. Then the summer of 2006 they bought Kris Boyd (who is the type of awesome poacher David Healy was supposed to be) and he lost his job.

Let's not forget, before we signed Murphy, Zamora, Paintsil, Konchesky and Davies, they were all not playing regularly for their previous clubs. That's how you get bargains in the transfer market.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, Lovenkrands is actually very fast. (At least, he is as quantified by video games, and if there's one thing I feel like you can trust them to get right, it's who's fast and who isn't.)

wow! Did we just stick it to Charlton or what? The Hammer has been their starting left winger all season, and now they've got to fight relegation without one of their most dependeble and productive players.

    Ah well

Have there been any more rumors about the guy from Leeds we were reportedly bidding for, or the kid in our Academy who had supposedly caught the eye of Fergie and Wenger?

Apparently the blue makes him visible, not so much the black or white.

Bring Altidore to the EPL! That would be great - I would love to be able to watch him on a weekly basis, and with their striker shortage he may see time.

yep, I saw this also. The first Korean to play in the Saudi league. He had the chance to become the first Korean to play for Fulham, but he really actually never did PLAY.

    C ya Seol Man.

It's been pretty quiet in the rumor mill at the Cottage this January. It's nice to have a settled squad and not have another massive line up change in store. We've all seen the smoke around Bully and Hangeland, but we finally do have an offer in from Bolton for Jimmy - according to Skysports. I guess we'll see, if the bid is too good to pass up.
