Yeah, it is too bad that Jimmy B is gone. It's easy to say that Roy should have done more to keep him around, but I think that at the Cottage, his cult status probably eclisped his real value. What I mean to say is we loved him more than 5mil worth but that's just what is. To be fair, we snatched him from Wigan... anyway, I agree that it would be bad to try to bring in another player now, unless it were to be a real investment in a young talent. 5mil doesn't go too far in the open market, but it can buy some hot young talent that we'll maybe be able to keep around for a while. I can't put my finger on who, though. Any ideas?

It must be true. The crack really is better (and bigger) in Texas.

Don't go quoting "Men at Work". I'm liable to have that ditty in the memory banks for quite some time now. Thanks alot, Opt!

Hodgy knows, this is the most important statement made out of all that hyperbole.

Well, here's my two cents: Roy may be good at buying, but if he had anything to do with this, his selling leaves something to be desired. The two do not necessarily go hand in hand.

Sad to see Jimmy go, he has been one of my favorites and I wish him luck. But who the hell takes the spot, I would love to see Clint back in the mid field.

We'll see. There's more to Gera than we've seen and LM isn't his position.

There is no more to Gera , his best position would be as far away from Fulham as possible , and he can take Ethu with him.

Bet you'd like to have that statement, and your previous one, back.

Wow... Gera is being compared to Jimmy's ability. Did you watch the Kettering match? Gera was getting worked by Blue Square Premier League defenders. He honestly was Kettering's best asset in defense. He was a sure giveaway in the build up. Harsh, maybe, but I don't think Gera is Prem quality.

If Fulham don't address the void in the midfield left by Bully we are in for a long second half of the season. He's hoping Roy can swoop Delph into our ranks.

Per Sky, Fulham have signed 20-year-old forward Ben Wright from non-league Hampton and Richmond Borough FC. The fee was undisclosed but was said to be a five-figure amount that exceeded Hampton's previous record of 40k pounds. Wright had scored 13 goals (7 league) for the Beavers, who sit third in the Conference South.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say he's not going to step right into the first XI.

Does anyone think Roy does not already know this? I would hope Roy is thinking past next week unlike anyone moaning about this particular transfer.

I don't play football for money.

AARGH. If it wasn't about the money Jimmy, you'd still be here. I don't begrudge you for going, at least not to adegree that a few days worth of stewing won't cure, but don't insult my frickin' intelligence and say that it wasn't about the money. You reached for the brass ring. Admit it, move on, go fishing, and cut the crap.
