    35 years young. Don't think many believed he would ever reach this level of competition, but his ability to maintain his fitness and form in his mid 30's is amazing. He is the type of player any coach or club would want.

    When I first got hooked on English fitba during the '66 World Cup [my first trip to England at the age of 19], the farthest thing from my mind was the possibility of an American team playing in the Cup Finals, never mind the possibility of an American playing at the top levels in the UK. And I never thought we'd ever develop a top quality striker.

    When I first saw Brian on TV [when he was with Columbus prior to Korea/Japan] I thought, "Geez, he's an English centre-forward. How did we develop one of those?"

    Happy Birthday Brian -- YOUNG man -- you have made some impossible dreams come true! :banana:
