GREAT IDEA! Now we just need a cup. (Maybe a Fulham coffee cup form the official store would do?)

cheers, it keeps it interesting, most teams can beat each other in this format. i must be the only team in it without any chelsea players. i used numbered scrabble tiles for the draw, and honest the long islanders were last out thr bag

I will personally buy a Fulham Coffee Mug when I am over next week and it shall be the price (along with one other surprise) for this challenge.

I'll post on the official so everyone knows about it that joined our league.

    REALLY GREAT IDEA VB.

    number crunching

it may be more level then you think
the Long Islanders and FFC29 both have 5 of the same players. so it comes down to what the rest of the team scores.

the 6 other Islanders; 495pts, scoring an avg 23.5
the 6 other FFC 29....;444PTS, SCORING AN AVG 21.1
so its a pretty level playing field

Great idea, VB. I see Stover has a tough 1st round match against Fulhamish FC.
That should tire out his team so that he drops down the league a bit. heheh.
French Connection for the Cup !!!

VB's going to have a helluva time trying to find an innocent hand to do the draw for the next round. Don't let Mikey or Tom anywhere near it ;-)))

theres some teams who are making muti transfers in one week, you lose 4 pts of your total per transfer, if you make more then one in any given week. they must think theres a better chance of winning the Fulham mug then the Harrods hamper

my son Von Joe will be making the draw next week

    Re: RE: number crunching

You're out to get me! You're 1st round match against Steal City Whites looks quite difficult as well...it may come down to the difference in strikers.

I've scored 37 points each of the last two weeks, which allowed Black & White Army to gain 30 points on me...I think my team is already snoozing on the pitch. My defenders and keepers are poor and upgrades are needed, but lack of funds are dragging me down. Hopefully the recent kit change will bring them back to life.

Is Fulhamish FC even trying, seriously? not a single transfer all season, same lineup every week, same captain. anyone that can put together a team at the beginning of the season, never mess with it and still find a place in the top ten at this stage of the season is brilliant. makes me feel awful...always looking for players to transfer in/out. I don't want to exit the run for the Mug in round 1, but if a few key players on Fulhamish's squad play well I don't have a chance at advancing.

    the importance of being Lee

French Connection takes a 4pt lead over the Steal City Whites into sunday fixtures (28-24).with 3 of the 4 players being the same. it all comes down to Lee McColloch and maybe a couple of pts from the active index.

one team out of the top 5 who looks like they have already been knock out is Martin Rose and his Black & White Army (22-52). Justin Sanders the boss of Transatlantic FFC must be laughing in his cornflakes this morning. ''no amount of chelsea players will pull this one back''

Curses, I'm out already. There is a slight chance that the Actim Index bonus points will be kind to me (please!), but most likely my Cup run is finished. Actually, I can't be too surprised given my team's current form hehe.

Of course this means that if I lose I'll be starting a petition to change the Cup into a 2 weeks-per-round, advancing on aggregate score, type format (just kidding).

I can't wait until the bonuses are added and scores become official.

I'm up against G-rap on Saturday which is a tough fixtures as he's on fire at the moment. Lack of funds for transfers has motivated at kit change. This, and the fact that most of my team have gone down with gastric flu all week, has motivated a choice of yellow. Should be good camouflage. Roll on Saturday
