The visitors come in riding a five game league winning streak. That's right. WINNING streak. Not unbeaten. No draws. Winning streak. Of the kind we so desperately need. They're third. Pavel Pogrebnyak is long gone, having signed with Dynamo Moscow last August. They beat Bristol City at home last weekend 2-1. The only recognizable player I see on their roster is keeper Ali Al-Habsi, who we faced quite a bit when he was at Wigan during our last few years in the PL. He and his defenders had a long run of clean sheets before Bristol broke through late last week, and, given our offensive challenges and home form this season, that doesn't bode well for us. That being said, I look for us to get a result. Last weekend's effort at the Amex proves we can hang with the top clubs in this league, and we're overdue for a strong home showing. Everyone's pretty much healthy, so we should be able to field a reasonably normal side. I think we'll be up for the third place team at home, and our form there is bound to improve eventually, Why not starting now? Perhaps Joka will even shake things up a bit, lineup wise. Now would be a good time to do it.

I've heard that Danny Williams kid they have is pretty good. Headed over tomorrow night, will be there on Saturday, because who doesn't love an early December weekend in London? At least it's cheaper than usual.

I was going to ask where the love is for Danny. He's having a great season with the Royals. I think he's the logical successor on the USMNT for Jones. We'll see.

Oh, yeah. Him. Jurgen STILL doesn't know who he is, does he?

I was out Christmas shopping with my boys and my phone buzzed and I said "I hope that's a notice of a Fulham goal." Sure enough it was. By the end of our trip it got ridiculous (happily). My phone would buzz, the boys would say "Another Fulham goal?" and I'd answer with a wide grin "yep!".

Clearly we need to start Ream every week!

This is like the old days in a way -- just get up in the morning and find out how the game came out. As I was starting up the computer, I sure wasn't expecting to see 5-0. Wow. Interesting that Reading is third in the table but only +1 in goal differential. When they lose, they lose big.

What we really want to do is play the 3rd place team at home. This year we have an aggregate score of 10-0 in that situation! The whole reason for our +9 goal differential.

Just clinical. Pushing forward from the opening kick, if they weren't unlucky early in the first half, it could have been 6 or 7!
