    Hello all!

Seems like several folks are making the pilgrimage to Craven Cottage on April 5. My husband and I are in the process of making plans, ClevelandMo (I believe) has already purchased tickets and dtwondough is also looking into going. Anyone else interested? What arrangements can we make to get together?

    American Mike? Hello :)?

I'm hoping ticket prices can come down a bit. From Denver for that weekend is a bit pricey, but I'll certainly add it to the watch list. Very interested in going though.

I'd like to go but we'll see how this school year is plus I'd like to see if there are any deals from Atlanta to London (I'm gonna be checking clarkhoward.com a bunch).

To those of you on the fence about going to the 4/5 Sunderland match, just realize that this will either be a very important game or it will be one of your last chances to see FFC play in the EPL for a while.

Jacob said he was thinking about going as well...it might be The Dirty Whites +2 at the game that day! How fun would that be? Loads...

dtwondough, I dont have tickets yet 'cause they dont go on general sale until a few weeks before the game. Everyone assures me that there will be no problem getting tickets to this match.

That sounds good. However, I have to do some asking around. I want to sit in a loud section with an English football atmosphere, but we will have our 8 yro and 10 yro boys with us. While some profanity would be okay, I dont want to sit anywhere that could have a constant stream of crude/lewd profanity or vomiting or arguing (something akin to the Dogpound at Browns stadium). Anyway, it might prevent us from sitting near the rest of you, but hopefully not.

alright. we can re-visit once they announce the on-sale date. By then hopefully everyone will have trips planned if they can make it. I'm still waiting for prices to drop, I hope.

You probably know this, but you should check prices everyday. Sometimes they just drop for a short time. Just as a point of reference, we got tickets for around $700 on Northwest.

Sorry for the size of the message but here are some decent fares I've found for Atlantans ($452 or $535/565/595 - add the $30 for the non-Mon.-Wed. departure dates - read below).

Rates for three seasons are available on American Airlines:

    $259 / $452 / $791 London
    $374 / $667 / $833 Paris
    $390 / $625 / $1,046 Rome
    $424 / $582 / $906 Shannon
    $432 / $636 / $792 Brussels
    $436 / $531 / $1,017 Frankfurt
    $369 / $452 / $791 Manchester
    $469 / $599 / $1,042 Madrid
    $510 / $582 / $906 Dublin
The lower rate applies on trips completed by March 31. The middle rates apply on trips taken between April 1-May 17. The highest prices are valid on departures and returns completed during May 18-Aug. 31 departures. To book, call Consolidator Web Fares at 678-462-8737 (local ATL number).

    OR

Spring through Labor Day, 2008 rates from British Airways:

    $535 / $841 London
$545 / $815 Bordeaux*, Lyon, Marseille*, Nice, Paris, Toulouse*
    $550 / $835 Brussels
$560 / $825 Berlin, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Munich, Stuttgart
    $555 / $805 Cork
    $555 / $830 Amsterdam*, Dublin*
    $555 / $835 Luxembourg
    $565 / $855 Basel, Geneva, Zurich
    $580 / $910 Bologna*, Milan
    $590 / $880 Prague
    $610 / $895 Copenhagen
    $610 / $900 Vienna
    $620 / $905 Montpellier*
    $625 / $880 Barcelona, Madrid
    $630 / $900 Warsaw
    $640 / $920 Stockholm
    $645 / $920 Helsinki
These BA rates are valid Mon.-Wed. with other travel days $30 higher, each way. Stays of up to ten months permitted. The lower rate applies travel started and completed during March 24-May 25 departures. The higher fares apply on trips completed between May 26-Sept. 3. Travel only to cities with an * require an aircraft change at London's Gatwick Airport. Trips to all other destinations require an airport change from Gatwick to Heathrow. Typically, BA's schedules provide for enough time in between flights to make the transfer, but the making the airport change is often easier going to your final destination rather than on return flights. Therefore, it is suggested that you consider taking advantage of the free London stopover on your return. A stopover is considered four or more hours. Hotel stays and extras are not included. To book, call Consolidator Web Fares at 678-462-8737 (local ATL number).

Too bad the dollar is so weak compared to the pound. If it were not out of my price range I would love to go to England for the first time in my life and have a great excuse to go.

That is part of my math equation. 2/$1+cost of staying somewhere+foodbeer/ticket= pain for wallet.

FulhamFC sent me a survey today. They asked if the website should have more contests and I suggested that American Airlines, as an FFC sponsor, offer airline tickets from US to London as a prize. I hope they listen.
