I find it kind of hard to believe that the most expensive signing in Fulham's history will not at least be on the bench for the first match of the season. I expect AJ to start the match and hopefully show the Fulham fans what they can expect in the season to come.

I'll add Healy and Paintsil to the bench.

Woy, since I know you are lurking, if you are reading this post for advice, my suggestion is that you ignore everything I write for the duration of the year.

okay, it's Tuesday, 1000 CDT, and the Offal STILL DOESN'T HAVE THE SQUAD NUMBERS YET?

Is the club going to wait until kick off on Saturday? Jeezus; get with it!

Gera should definitely be on the pitch. I am very excited to see him in the lineups. 2-0 to Fulham. Goals by Bullard and Zamora.

    I'm going to guess:
    Schwarzer
    Stoor - Hughes - Hangeland - Konchesky
    Davies - Murphy - Bullard - Gera
    Nevland - Zamora

Zuberbuhler, Volz, Paintsil, Andreasen, Davis, Dempsey, E. Johnson

Maybe he's not hurt at all. Maybe there's just a minimum height requirement at Hull! :3d funny:

2-2 tie. Not a bad result, all things considered, but hope I'm wrong and we take the W.

It appears from the site I read that they knew about this thigh injury before they signed him.

Whites win 2-0! Windass and Marlon King will NOT score against Brede!

In the spirit of optimism, I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that we take this one 3-1, with Nevland putting it away with a corker around the 90th minute...Hull will put one in the net just because of the massive occasion that this match is for them, but it's time for the Whites to take three points when the opportunity presents itself - and what better opportunity than against the playoff winners from last season!

What time does the chatroom generally get going? I think I'll have to follow the action that way while watching Everton/Blackburn and drinking my 2nd cup of coffee. :)

Love the optimism. Chatroom looks like it will be live at 7am Pacific time.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I feel like a little kid waiting to play my first little league game of the season. I am totally fired up and can't wait for Saturday to get here!
