meanwhile, in another part of cyberspace, apparently there's a job opening for a proofreader at ESPN

    http://soccernet.espn.go.com/league?id= ... PA&cc=5901

The headline on the front page of SOCCERNET's Europa League page?

    Ash casts could over final

    :3d laughing:

There are rumors, by the way, that the dust cloud over Europe is not related to the Icelandic volcano. Evidently it is being linked to

    a. Arsenal cleaning their trophy case AND
    b. Tottenham fans opening their passports

Atletico at 8/13 and us at 6/5 = we're not favorites

It is on Gol TV...on THURSDAY (8pm Eastern). I suppose if someone can wait like 30 hours to watch the Final, Gol TV is an option.

    Glad I got DirecTV.

    2-0 Good guys in BLUE

Good guys in BLUE? Isn't that an oxymoron DtD?

Stoke has similar jerseys to AM and they wore them at the Cottage. I don't mind the third kit (still wish it was all-black though), but the usual home kit has enough differences to Madrid's to be worn.

It's almost time to start getting predictions/keys to the match posted.

If Duff and Zamora can start and play at their best, we walk it. If either is unfit, we struggle, if both are unfit ... .

Having said all that, I'M STANDING UP BECAUSE I STILL BELIEVE!

Dude, you didn't just drop a Lou Gramm reference on us, and a "non-Foreigner" one at that!?!?!

As for that Europa final thingy, I've got a quesy feelin' that it's gonna go extra time...which already makes me more nervous and the match remains 48 hours away from kick off.

    Z-O-L-T-A-N with the winning penalty.

I like that ending Nevster although I'm not sure my nerves will be able to take it. After Zoltan scores the winning penalty then I want to see him sing " how ya like me now" to the Hungarian national team.

Oh man. There really is no clear cut favorite/underdog here.

We simply shouldn't be here, AND I worry that what happened to Boro in '06 will happen to us.

Conversely, Atletico don't really belong either. They've won just TWICE their ENTIRE European Campaign (excluding the play-off stage last August), as they've relied on the away goals to squeak by. Yet they're at a neutral ground on Wednesday.

I honestly just don't know what to predict.

Just make us proud, boys. (Like you haven't already...)

Oh, man, the nerves are startiung to kick in...

I take heart that Atletico did not set the league on fire this year, and they have won twice in this competition. And we have the better manager.

Come on Fulham! Come on my stomach! Up the Whites!!

These odds are pretty tight IMO but that is not going to stop me from laying a hundy sterling down on the whites. Although I wish the whites had a bit longer odds, I figure ride the high real high, and if I am going to be depressed, why not be totally whisky bottle depressed. Just need one of my friends to make a trip to ladbrokes for me.....another reason I will miss old blighty amongst others.

Also, a big ass roach just ran by me on my deck, I have not seen one of those for two years (first time sleeping at MY house in a long time)! I guess that is TMI and not really match related but there it is.

    Watching the game

    Hello all. Great website.
I'm a Fulham fan who lives just north of London, but find myself in King of Prussia, PA on business this week. Having been at the ground for quarter and semi final home legs, I am obviously very keen to watch the final - perhaps you can help me out. From what I'm reading the game is only available on DirecTV here in the US - I dont think my hotel bar or any others round here have this channel. Where do you guys normally go to watch the game on the internet?

mandrossian, direct tv is a satellite provider not a channel. They have been showing the europa league games on special channels. Many many pubs/bars will have direct TV.

Close to King of Prussia is BrotherPauls pub ( I found via pub guide on this site). It looks very nice. Why dont you contact them to see if they have direct TV. www.brotherpauls.com

The BigSoccer listings were a little bare in that environs so I went to Soccerbars.com and looked
Came up with 'Kildare's' in KoP. Which, if you're staying in that Best Western is right across the highway toward the mall

I'll be at Sonoma's in Columbia, MD (took the day off work) and am dragging 3-6 of my soccer-loving friends, though none of them are Fulham fans (one is even a Scouser!).
