Anyone watching? Anyone pulling for a team?

My alma mater, Rice Univ., is in it and I'm psyched. If you're not rooting for anyone may I kindly suggest Rice U. They are by far the smallest school in the series with less 3,000 students, tiny for division one athletics. Stanford is the next closest in size but still is more than twice as big. All the other schools are huge.

The Rice caoch, Wayne Graham, is a wonderful ol' gentleman. The Rice guys are the nice guys. Come on you owls!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jeez Mo, I am a little intimidated now knowing you went to Rice. What a great school.

Sorry but I am pulling for Stanford which is just up the road from my Alma Mater and I have a lot of friends from there.

I switch to Rice if Stanford is take out though. :)

I love Rice because Lance Berkman [we like Lance a lot!] and Jose Cruz Jr [Cheolito] went there. And because IT'S IN TEXAS.

I always knew you were a wise Owl, Mo!

And if Rice gets eliminated, I'll be for Standford. Sounds a little elitist but oh well.

And you're pretty crafty yourself for leaving out a certain word between wise and Owl.

So you're an Astros fan. Would you have liked Alberto Gonzales more if he played for the Astros?

I would have liked him a lot regardless of what he'd done as long as he'd been employed in Texas!

Oh, and about the "missing word," I AM the charming one!

My sister's alma mater Oregon State won the last two titles, but sorry sis no 3-peat. I went to Arizona and we came up one game short of Omaha by losing to Miami 4-2.

The funniest thing I heard was that Arizona State faked a fight (2 guys fake scuffled on purpose, to get Fresno State off their game, and the head coach was aware that it was going to happen :? ). Fresno beat ASU and advanced, all I can say is typical Scum Devils, geniuses the lot of them.

I have to go w/Stanford for the Pac-10 connection.

Yes, Rice is full of geeks and nerds. Thats why we're the Owls and not the Tigers.

The Rice baseball players, however, are not. I dated one for a while, and he dumped me after he realized how much time I spent studying. The word for a nerd at Rice is "wiener". They didnt call me "mowiener" for nothin'.

    Go Rice and COYO!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone respects Rice baseball. It's the real deal. Wayne Graham is great. Yada, yada, yada...

... but physics and thermodynamics will work against Rice this coming weekend and next week win LSU unleashes Gorilla ball on little ole Rice. As Newton and Einstein always said, "bigger crushes smaller".

So Rice people, put your gloves and bats down and just get back to the library and your electrical engineering homework.

    LSU! LSU! LSU!!!!

I guess I should've realized that you're an Aggie. Wow, thanks for pulling for Rice!! Sorry about the supers. I'd much rather it be against UT.

Can't wait to see how far LSU hitters can hit the ball off four-eyed Rice pitchers. :)

North Carolina 8 LSU 4 (ouch Lyle), Fresno State 17 Rice 5 (double ouch Mo). Well look at the bright side, it is double elimination. Both teams face an elimination game...versus each other  Time to step up the insults.
