Herc matched Jozy's two goals and an assist in Santos Laguna's 3-1 win tonight.

:text-+1: I know it's a broken record, but a Jozy/Herc combo would find the back of the net a bunch if given the time to develop.

Jozy breaks Dempsey's American record of goals in a European season with his 24th of the season today -> http://www.socceroverthere.com/?p=12218

And Alejandro Bedoya scored in a Swedish Cup match today.

Timmy finally saw his consecutive starting streak stopped at 210 due to a knock he took in the FA Cup win against Oldham. Brad Guzan with yet another stellar performance for a terrible Aston Villa team in a 0-1 loss to Citeh. Sky Sports gave him Man of the Match, Save of the Match, and a rating of 9 out of 10 which you rarely ever see for a GK.

I've watched about 75% of the league matches by both these sides, and Guzan has had a much better season than our TimmyG. I'd like him to get the next couple of matches in the Hex.

Just was going to post this:

Here's to a quick recovery for Howard. That sucks, but...

Come on Guzan! Come on Guzan!! Come on Guzan!!! It's his time to step up, especially as the heir apparent.

First time watching Villa for a whole match, and Guzan looked great (Sky gave him an 8). The MNT has got so many other issues in the lineup it's nice to know someone of Guzan's caliber can step right in. Wynalda hinted at half time that JK might want to give another Brad (Friedel) a call, but have to disagree Guzan looks like he's ready.

    It's getting ugly for the USMNT;

    Timmy - out
    Dolo - out
Clint - out for last 2 weeks, should be back, but not exactly in ideal circumstances
Bradley - out due to yellow card accumulation, hope he plays this week.
Fabian Johnson - dinged hip, supposed to be back this week.
    Castillo - out
Cameron - in and out of lineup, at least started at Newcastle, Shea was on bench, but did not feature.
Boca - rooted to bench in Spanish 2nd division.
    Landon - finding himself...

Klinsi did a twitter Q&A today and said that both Fabian Johnson and Clint Dempsey are returning to training this week and should be ready to go for the qualifiers (as well as club games for their club teams this week) and that Dolo should be returning to training soon as well.

Herc scores yet again and helps knock the Houston Dynamo out of CONCACAF Champions League.

And DaMarcus Beasley scored tonight in a Copa MX match.

Beasley really needs to be called in for the next WCQ. We need wingers, we need experience . . . we need Da Beaz
