2 Random Questions

I got two questions, one Fulham related and one Premier League related.

1) I see on the Premier League site that some teams have an extra, third kit, like Fulham's powder blue one. Is this like the NBA/NHL where they just do this for marketing or is there an actual history behind this? Also, how often do the teams wear the third kit? I know the NBA, my Mavs wear their third green/blue jerseys 10-15 times throughiut the season out of 82 games.

2) Baseball/MLB has baseball-reference.com and Basketball/NBA has basketball-reference.com, but does the Premier League have any good history/stat-related sites? I am a bit of a stat junkie and like to see scores and stats from past seasons.

Hi Lax,

1) The third kit is for when a team clashes with both first and second kit. For example, when we play Newcastle away they have black and white stripes and so we need to play in the third kit.

2) I use http://www.fchd.info/ occasionally and http://stats.football365.com/

Historically stats are less meaningful, especially points records as the number of points for a win changed from 2 to 3 in 1981. You can also try the football league and premier league sites, both should have stats info on them.

If you are looking for records such as player records, ave gates etc... it becomes more difficult, some clubs will not even have a compehensive list of players.
