I hope you are right, I recon we can stay up on 7 points from 9. If we do stay up Reading and Brum will go down, but I think we will get 6 points and go down on goal difference.

Top marks for optimism though, thanks for the post BF4L.

Well thanks for that inspiring article Don! Now Reading certainly must have the easiest run in...

...Even my most hopeful of scenarios (listed above) looks threatened. I wasn't saying the above will happen...just merely hoping it could happen.

So you're saying we should recall Collins John and Steven Davis and stick them in the lineup and see what happens?

    Well, I've heard worse ideas.

not really; I think our problems are more squad related. Coppell, on the other hand, suddenly has his entire strike force incapable of finding the net [kinda like us Feb-May last season]. The difference is, he has an in-form striker available and made his move. If Lita gets amongst the goals -- and remember that at this time last year he was a goal-scoring machine for Reading -- it might be what they need to stay up.

Us? we need a time machine to send our guys back to play with a bit more self-belief in a half-dozen or so matches.

If we have access to a time machine, can we get the six-years-younger versions of McBride and Murphy and Litmanen and Keller? Heck, six-years-younger Ian Pearce would probably be an improvement too.

If we had a time machine we could go back to the point JT was going to buy Marlet and say "Oi, no. I see that you are a top quality manager who has bought in a group of magnificent player, but that Steve Marlet is a pile of donkey doo and you do not want to waste 12 million quit on that." We could by a 15 year old Ronaldo instead.
