The Super Bowl is upon us, but I'm more excited about the puppy bowl and the unseasonable warmth today. I haven't watched the NFL since Mr. Kroenke took the Rams back to LA. Next weekend the XFL kicks off and the Battlehawks are prepared to take flight. Although I detest the name, I'm excited to head back to the Dome for some football. I think the league made one huge error in not putting teams in Oakland and San Diego. Personally I bought season tickets more to stick it the NFL then anything else. Anybody else showing this league any love?

Brad, you’ll have to report on the experience. Interested in some of
rule changes (like the 1, 2, 3 pt PAT idea). Doubtful I’ll watch much tbh, I still watch NFL (have been playing Fantasy Football w/college buddies forever), and like the off-season. If it’s a decent product however, I might go check it out (I’m guessing the LA is playing where Galaxy play)

The Houston Roughnecks play at home on Saturday. If the weather is nice and tiks cheap enough, I might go for kicks and tailgaiting.

I'm completely with you about leagues that care SO MUCH about their loyal fans right up until they can get more money elsewhere. The Colts were stolen from Baltimore, so Baltimore made an offer for the Browns. The Cleveland owner moved the team because his name was on the ownership papers and he could make more money in Baltimore. That showed exactly how much he cared about those fans. That's why I always root for whoever's playing the Ravens.

I like the idea that the XFL is experimenting with rule changes. That's how the 3-point shot was introduced via the ABA. My particular problem is that if they, like MLB and NFL, insist on thinking of Sacramento as a suburb of the Bay Area that's nearly 100 miles away, then I think I'll wait and see for now.

I genuinely enjoyed week 1. The transparency on replay reviews was my favorite thing about the xfl. The BattleHawks win also was nice. KaKaw!!!

I went to the week 2 Roughnecks game vs. St. Lewis here in Houston. Actually very entertaining football. Crowd was into it. Around 17k in attendance. I will go back if the price is right, great weather expected, and do a bit of tailgaiting next time.

Here in St. Louis the tickets started around 24 with all the fees and such, but the demand has been high. The home opener sold out (they are only opening the lower bowl). The cheapest tickets on the resale market as of yesterday was over $90 dollars. I've been battling in my head with selling the tickets since it would basically cover my season ticket cost. So unless i change my mind, look for me in the crowd on Sunday

Like St.B said above, I believe lowest price tickets start in the 24 buck range.
