Mikey, I'm not sure if these programs are for overseas marketing only, but the Premier League Preview and Review Shows as well as Premier League World has been showing the unfurling of our flags quite a bit as part of their 30 seconds on Fulham. Tell everyone involved in flying these at away venues that each time they do, they're sending our spirits through the roof back here in the Colonies.
We're Jean Valjean! Wait, no, that's not right. Hey look, it's Mike in the picture! And... a dude wearing a Franklin & Marshall sweatshirt in the top left?
You guys dont have the Premier, Review, and World shows in England? That is crazy. If that is the case - meaning that it is made just for us, then why is the editing so poor? They cut to commercial in the middle of a manager talking, or come back in the middle of the highlights. I record these every week. I dont know how to get the stuff off my DVR - anyone have a clue how to rip stuff from a Dish DVR to my computer? Hey - how about slingbox? If anyone has that you could dial it up and watch it (I dont currently have one).
Nice work with the support by the way. The commentators where slaying Fulham supporters during the match - made a couple comments that the away form is so bad because only a couple hundred fans follow the club away from the cottage. He then did say: "It's always been a nice club... Quaint Cottage in the corner." (Or something close to that anyway)
Ha ha, Jensers! I heard that this weekend too - the commentators were also more than happy to hear the final whistle...'a dreary performance by both clubs is over' or something like that. Nice job with the flag, Mike and crew. I could see it plain as day all match and all the way out here in California! Can't you save dvr's to a flash drive and then upload to a computer? If my computer skills were measured by the Age of Enlightenment, I'm somewhere around 1645...
In today's Premier League Highlights show, they did NOT feature the unfurling. They also translated our 67% possession rate to "Fulham hardly featured" and missed both of the penalty shouts. Typical.
That flag is more massive than MASSIVE(tm). Oh yeah, Mike, let them know we can hear them well when they are on TV here.
Please note the guy in the tan coat, whom some of you may recognize from the FUSA photogallery as Fletcher (or from the more youthful photo below as he is joined by AlFayed). Fletch and I have been travelling to all the away games together this season along with some of the other guys not pictured. I'm hoping that the match vs. Sheffield Wednesday is shown on TV at somepoint for you...you will see some awsome atmosphere there (along with loads of flags bigger than my house!)
