There are two things from Liverpool that I like. One, is something that I've seen in a number of matches around the league and on Pool's 2nd goal. Moses made a run into the final 3rd with the ball at his feet, meanwhile Sturridge races in and makes an off-ball run to take defenders out of Moses' way. Rooney busted his tail getting forward to do that for RVP in ManU's opener as well. It's smart football and something I wish you'd see from us. The other thing, is the aggressive approach they are taking to each match. They once again came out in search of taking the lead so they can control the match from there. It backfired when they gave up a very early goal, but they pulled it back in short order and still got the go ahead goal before HT.

Jonjo Shelvey is having the ultimate yo-yo match. Scored the 1st goal, committed two turnovers that resulted in each of Liverpool's 2 goals and then assists the equalizer. Crazy!

Great match, eh? Although Michu cost me 4 points in the picking pool.

And, if you remember, we used to see the diagonal runs to spread the defense all the time. That was Our Late President's stock and trade. He made a ton of open space that Dempsey, Duff, and Zamora took advantage of. Glad we stopped all that rot. MJSF is sooo much more satisfying.

AJ did it in a less direct manner than what I was referring to, but you are right nonetheless. I was as impressed with the hustle to get forward and join the fray and the selflessness of it as I was the tactics of the move. We may have questioned the results and health with AJ, but no one questioned his hustle and how selfless (often to a fault) he was. Playing for each other...sigh.

The more I watch other teams, the worse I feel about Fulham. It gives me optimism that we can certainly do better, but it's depressing watching everyone and their dog do all the little things that we don't...anymore. It's funny, when QPR were up a number of our fans seemed to relish pinning them with the mercenary tag. It feels like we're the ones playing like mercenaries these days. Minus the big transfer fees.
