In hopes of jump starting this WC cycle, I'll start this one off. Who's staying and who's going? And who's starting against Antigua & Barbuda? (Hope I spelled that right). And does anybody know ANYTHING about them?

They still only get to play their top XI. We'll be fine as long as we show something more offensively than against Canada.

A lot of their squad plays for Antigua Barracuda FC, a USL Pro team. They also have a number of players who play in the lower divisions in England. That's about it.

I think Klinsmann is already down to a 23 man roster so there will be no further cuts, if that's what you were asking. To add to what Heather said, we have never played A & B before.

Holy red card, Batman! Does that mean they get to start 22 players? Damn, we ARE screwed!

According to FIFA world rankings they're 95th in the world, 12th in CONCACAF. We're 29th & 2nd respectively. They've never qualified for a World Cup. Looking at those rankings, they're higher than I expected...but still shouldn't be any sort of problem for the US.

Their wiki roster shows 36, not sure how many are actually on the named squad. Several play for British sides in the lower divisions, having been born there, but qualifying for A & B through their grandfathers (how exactly does THAT work?).

A lot players qualify for national teams through their parents or grandparents. I think the general rule is if you qualify for a passport for a particular country, you can represent them? Wouldn't be surprised if these players' grandfather's made their way to the UK for work from Antigua and Barbuda (which is an independent State in the Commonwealth) and ended up staying there.

Fabian and Castillo are out for tomorrow. Here is Ives projected line-up: Howard, Cherundolo, Goodson, Bocanegra, Parkhurst; Dempsey, Jones, Bradley, Donovan; Gomez, Boyd

Enjoy the USMNT game tomorrow evening folks as I will be chauffeuring my family to Indy for a 3 day weekend of the Children's Museum, hopefully two soccer matches and then the zoo before making an exhausted drive home on Sunday.

If this isn't a win will someone quote one of Mo's postings and just say Barry said so too.

Enjoy your time with the family, and I'll be sure to honor your request if they lose (I'll have to add my name to it as well).

Castillo and Johnson are both injured and likely not available to play LB. Looks like we will have to put Carlos over there, or at least that's what I hope the Kaiser does. "How do you like me now?" say Eric Lichaj and Jonathan Spector.

Just for the record, I predicted doom, but not necessarily a loss to the weakest team we will face, at home. If it happens though I would probably be happy because they would have to fire Klinsmann. And if they didnt at least many more people would agree with me that they should.

Mo, beat me to it. The starting LB for Aston Villa probably isn't taking any satisfaction, if anything it might heighten his disappointment about not being invited to camp. Gotta hope Boca can make it through the next 90 minutes healthy

C'mon Mo, we haven't even played a competitive match yet. I get that you don't like him, didn't want him hired and eagerly anticipate him getting the sack. But you wouldn't fire a coach after the preseason or a manager after Spring Training. Just have to let this one play out.

Am I reading you right here? You'd rather be proven right than see Klinsmann get it right and bring success to the US? I'll grant you that the latter is unlikely, but it's really all we can root for at this point, no?

Klinsmann seems like a nice guy, I just dont like him as a coach. There is too much evidence that he wont get the job done. It's not a matter of wanting to be proven right; I honestly believe this is going to be a disaster. If it happens sooner rather than later then maybe there will still be a chance we qualify for the WC.

Friendlies arent the real thing, but we do try to win them. If you cant win friendlies or play well, I dont see how you win when it counts. So I dont equate friendlies to preseason. Our players usually are match fit in our friendlies because they're often in the middle of their club season.
