I enjoyed the match immensely. Jamaica are very well disciplined and the result on Wednesday is not a sure thing.

About El Tri ... last night's team was the most lifeless. uninspiring group of "professionals" I've ever seen wear their colors. I have a feeling that their U-21 or U-17 squad could have put in a better 90 minutes.

Mexico may have put in an uninspiring performance but Andre Blake certainly did not. The save he made with his leg on the deflected shot is one of the best saves I believe I have seen.

Good win for the USMNT. It was a non-Confed tourney, but some folks showed mettle - Howard (still #1); Dempsey (new role, but that guy can still play); Nagbe (growing into his eventual responsibility for the midfield); Altidore (yeah, he's still around); Bradley (Id.); Villafana (he hopefully can allow Fabian to be in midfield...hopefully); Dwyer (I think he has a shot at 2018, but Morris will give him a run). I could go on, but I can only bore y'all so much.

It was an excellent match. The goal we conceded is down to Arena. If you're going to defend the goal on a corner, you need to be on the line, for 5 yards from it man marking a larger, quicker defender. The fact that no adjustment was made later in the match for another corner, ... well, I don't know.

Overall, though, I think everyone who participated last night should be proud of his medal.
