USA to call replacement players for T&T qualifier

US is supposed to be calling for replacement players for the WCQ.This may mean that College and A-League players wil be called up to the Nat team.So if the US dosent get its first team player then they could lose this match then have to go to Mexico and win.Instead of going to T&T and maybe getting a win then going into the Mexico match just needing a draw or if you lose its ok Because you still have 3 points.Now its possible loss to T&T then have to go to Mexico and win.

Players rejected Arbit because it was proposal A vs B, winner take all. And players had tabled a negotiating type demand which would have lost in "Pick One"
Notable that both Players' and USSF Sites are pretty mum on laying out their positions.

makes me want to puke- players & us soccer better get their act together- if they don't qualify for the world cup because of this (if the team doesn't qualify for the world cup due play of the top players on the field so be it... but not due a labor dispute!!!) i'll be seriously p*ssed off. soccer could get a great shot in the arm(soccer in the usa) by another solid world cup showing-

Popik, ex-Galaxy backup keeper, recently retired, has been called into camp.

What we are going to see is nothing but downslope A-League and retired players... meaning those that will never expect to see MLS or National Team Service again.

I would suggest Dante Washington of the Crew, but he's active MLS and doesnt want to get "hurt" in the coming season, surely his last. Note that he had actually semi-retired 10 years ago.

I'm sure the players will come around and arrive at a figure of about 75 % of their proposal.
