Friday night at 9:30pm EST on beIN Sport. We should be a little more rested than they are, but I fully expect another tough match against Jamaica. Will it be our first victory there? I'm kinda leaning towards a yes, but would love to just get a point.

    Lineups? Predictions?

I heard they took out FJ as a precaution during the Germany game but he should be ready for Friday. :banana-guitar:

I hope that's the case with Fabian as well, and I'm really glad to see Michael Bradley back on the pitch for us. I harbor no illusions about our in transition defense, but if we score 4 more goals, I'll be a happy camper. That should be enough for a point, and hopefully, all three. Dempsey with a hat trick, perhaps?

Happy to hear the squad went early to Jamaica (the day of the hosts' match v El Tri.). Weather will be around 90 degrees w/90+% humidity. The backline obviously is the main concern, but won't be surprised if the floodgates open a little bit and Jozy bags a few goals in these 3 matches.

WIll be on a flight to Phoenix at match time, so the fact that it's on a network I don't have (beIN) doesn't matter. I'll go with a 2-2 draw (Jozy and Duece)

    My prefered line-up
    -----Howard------
    Cameron--Gonzo--Besler--F. Johnson
    --------Jones ----Bradley
    ----Dempsey--------------Beasley
    -----------EJ---------Jozy

If Fabian Johnson is healthy I just dont understand starting Beasley at left back as people seem to think Klinsmann will do. McCleary could potentially torch Beasley if he is at LB. Do you really want Beasley paired against McCleary for the entire match? Plus, even at LB Beasley has been one of our more threatening attackers in the last few games so why not put him further up the field in his normal position.

Hopefully, Klinsmann has learned the elementary lesson that a bad pitch means you should maybe get some width and put more than one cross into the box the entire night. If Jamaica starts the same right back they did versus Mexico then we should concentrate our attack down that side

As Joe said our D is a big concern, especially considering the speed Jamaica can put out there

Mo, the one goal Mexico got against Jamaica was off a sublime cross from Salcido for an easy header. The US coaches were there, the team were surely gathered in the hotel watching, so I'm sure the players know they need to whip in crosses

I've been going back and forth on what the loss to Mexico does to Jamaica. WIll they come out desperate with high energy or will they be a little deflated and play flat? They are in serious danger of losing touch with the rest of the Hex, so I will go with the former.

Have no idea what to expect out of our back line, but Timmy will be called on to make a few of his trademark saves. As for our players...STEP UP!!!!!!

I'm nervous as hell about this match. We haven't looked all that organized or focused during our away matches in CONCACAF under JK. I have a gig this evening, so I'll probably not get to the television until late in the evening.

Too nervous to pick a lineup or score.

Like Don I am all kinds of nervous about this match and about Omar in particular. I will also second Mo's desire to see Fabian Johnson and Demarcus flip positions. Demarcus has earned his playing time in my opinion but I think he would fare better in the midfield than as a left back.

For some reason I am still optimistic about this one. Maybe because Mr. Beckerman essentially gift wrapped a goal to the Jamaicans the last time at the Office and this time we have Bradley. But it is an away CONCACAF game, anything can happen. Please remain calm Mr. Jones, we need you to keep it together at all times.

Once the match started I was never nervous except for when I was. Nice cross from Zusi and a nice run from Jozy to put the US on the score sheet. In the old news section Bradley is the lynchpin of the squad. I don't even know what to say about the defending on the set piece. Good on Evans for grabbing the winner.

    Brad effing Evans.

I'm headed up to Seattle on Sunday for a mini-trip and seeing the game live on Tuesday. Can't wait.

Just as I'm FINALLY beginning to appreciate Jones as Bradleys CM partner, he goes and gets injured. I hope the crazy German is okay.

Good effort tonight by the boys, and a VERY important 3 points.

He certainly looked that way stumbling off the field. I believe USSF may actually have learned a lesson from Taylor Twellman's experience. As much as we need him [did I really just type this?] partnering with Bradley, he needs to sit out the next two matches for his own health.

I'd like to see the much-maligned Cameron partner MB in the next match -- he's a much better defensive mid than either a CB or a FB.

I am guessing that is unlikely that Jones will play and Zusi will be serving an accumulation of yellows suspension. It will be interesting to see the roster selections.

I still think that "Accumulation of Yellows" sounds like a 1980s British Glam-rock band. They should be opening for Duran Duran or Men Without Hats. :banana-guitar:
