    CHICAGO (Dec. 22, 2011) – U.S. Soccer has announced the opening of polls for the 2011 Best of U.S. Soccer and Athlete of the Year awards. Fans can vote for finalists in each of the four prestigious U.S. Soccer Athlete of the Year Awards – Male, Female, Young Male, Young Female – as well as the 11 categories comprising this year’s Best of U.S. Soccer. Voting begins today on U.S. Soccer’s Page on Facebook.

    The 10th annual Best of U.S. Soccer series gives fans the opportunity to vote once a day from now until Friday, Jan. 13. For certain categories, voters will be able to refresh their memories with videos and photos as they relive some of the best moments of 2011.

    Thanks for posting Heather. I'll be sure to check it out and vote 'cause from the vid it wasnt clear if the Rapinoe to Wambach header v Brazil was in there. Surely that has to be the best goal of 2011.

    Lauren Cheney sure is a cutey pie.
