As many of you will know, I've been spending more time with Cardiologists than I have with either guitar players or football fans since late October. Earlier this week, I underwent three heart procedures the last of which was on the 29th. It's still early days, but the doctors have told me that my recovery was more complete than even they thought possible. Must be clean living and giving my ticker to Fulham FC that did it.

I'm taking it very easy for a week, but I will be watching us beat Wolves on Sunday. I hope to spend more time on the site now that I'm better.

Cheers and WE ARE THE WHITES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :banana-guitar:

Any idea on when you are going to be able to strap on your :banana-guitar: and play a gig?

Good news indeed! BTW, I showed your fez to the chair of our Shrine Circus last month. He got a real kick out of it!

Believe it or not, I scheduled the operation to get as much lead time before the next scheduled gig as possible ... 1.5 weeks. I'll be :banana-guitar: on the 10th. Probably won't be doing my Chuck Berry duckwalk, though.

Huh. I don't recall seeing you walk and play, much less duckwalk. Regardless, glad you're doing better.

Trust me; you're going to love the match. I'm rather fond of the match report also, but the match is one to keep and watch again this summer.

Well, I visited my cardio team this morning and, for the first time since Oct 30,they're happy with how my heart is working. So no more hospitalizations, no more "procedures," and no more weekly visits to the doctor. I have a review on May 1 and another on May 23, but then it'll likely be 3-6 months before I see them again.

The downside is that I'm still going to be popping pills like Charlie Sheen when he can't find his cocaine, and I'll be having blood drawn weekly, but at least this ticker problem can stop being the fulcrum of my entire life.

Thanks to you all for your kind words and good thoughts. You helped turn the tide for me, and I appreciate it more than you know.
